Look Nirvana is not one one of the prettiest Soi's in Jomtien, but it is such a nice nice place to stay. The rooms are very nicely done in Thai furnishing and they offer standard rooms deluxe 1 bedroom and a 2-bedroom which we have used many times. And the rates are very reasonable for Pattaya. Jomtien Beach is a great location for families as its friendly and cheap, just dont expect Phuket like blue water, this is a Bangkok weekend getaway area in addition to the thousands of international tourists. But thats why we like it - and, you have all the Pattaya nightlife only 10 minutes by very frequent baht bus for only 10 baht per person. The pool at Nirvana is neat for an afternoon dip after the beach but its not a resort so dont expect resort style pool! The only issue is NO LIFT, not a problem if you are reasonably fit but it would be ground floor if you dont like stairs....
The breakfast is OK but like a lot of Thai hotels, fairly basic - but again, it is quite ok.
Water pressure in the whole area is light, so dont expect raging showers.
Soi 4 is quiet and peaceful, full of thai/falang guesthouses and is definitely not glamorous.
If you are solo and after raging nightlife, stay in central Pattaya. But if you want a mix of beachside ambience and the choice of relaxing evenings or hardcore partying, Jomtien is a good spot.....
