“clean , convenient n value for money.....”

took the 389 from the airport n was dropped off at the bus company office opp pan pan restaurant about a couple of km's from the hotel .walked in at 11pm and was well received by the guy at the reception, check in was quick n done with a smile n immediately handed over the key card n the wifi password. wasn't carryin enough thai currency n on requesting, the gentleman was kind enough to let me pay the next day. the hotel is located on jomtien beach road which was quiet n more family oriented...... a far cry from what the pattaya beach road is about.would recommend people with families to stay here.tthe lobby has a nautical theme.reception staff was helpful n informative. no lift n no one to carry your luggage so would advise taking up a lower floor room if you're carryin a lot of luggage.the rooms are a decent size with aircon,tv, a well stocked mini bar and a safe. the bathrooms are pretty small but functional n you are provided with soap, shampoo etc. i was stayin in a garden view (202)n the room is little oddlly shaped with a view of an empty lot n not much of a garden from any angle. the hotel has a restaurant which served good food but the breakfast was nothing to write home about. sadly everywhere in thailand i've been noticing the limited variety of local thai food on the menus, understandably to cater to more western tastes ,so you can get everything from a ribeye to ........ when you exit the hotel n turn right, there are family marts n 7-11's along with a lot of restaurants along the beach road. u can hire bikes at soi 5 n soi 7......or simply hire the bhat bus to get about.
jomtien beach has coarse sand n the water is murky but much cleaner than pattaya beach .
all in all a good place to stay considerin the value , location n the cleanliness. would definitely come back again.

Room Tip: take the sea view rooms on the higher floors if you dont mind the stairs.

“Good value, simple charm, all mod cons.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 December 2011

Stayed here for 3 weeks while waiting to go to Vietnam for the winter.

Earlier in the year I stayed at Woodland Suites at the North end of Pattaya and hated it, tacky and very German (sorry German people), and swore that I'd never come back to sin city, but I had one set of friends visiting for a b'day party, and another friend who lives in Pattaya who had driven me around a bit and told me that Jomtien was far more relaxed, and after reading the reviews of The Boathouse on here I thought I'd give it another go.

Originally I booked for a week, but extended to three, so they must have done something right.

I had a sea view room on the third floor, and I'd recommend spending the extra for it, watching the sunset with a cold Leo sat on the balcony was a real pleasure.

The room has all you need, fridge, good aircon, good bathroom, safe, and even on the top floor a good strong wifi signal.

The restaurant downstairs is ok, stick to the Thai food, the steaks are pretty terrible, but then it's nearly impossible to get a good steak in Asia.

The staff are very friendly in the restaurant, and the cleaning girls, but the two guys running the front desk can come across as rude and arrogant, they really don't represent the rest of the establishment well.

The only other negatives are the noise from across the street. While the traffic can't be heard due to 2 sliding doors, occasionally some kids will have a party with a car blaring crap music at full volume parked opposite. Other negative is a lack of a pool. I wouldn't swim on that beach if you paid me.

Don't let the front desk rip you off on a taxi back to the airport, they try to charge you 1500 Baht, it should be 1000, and taxis can be booked from one of the Russian travel agents just up the road.

All in all though, an excellent little chilled out hotel.

“Excellent value for money.”

Staying here as I write this review, hotel excellent value for money. Rooms some with balconies, clean and comfortable they provide 2 bottles of water per day, a safe, air conditioning and beach towels at no extra cost. Food good and not to expensive, it is across the road from beach, so you can sit and people watch if you like. Elvis impersonator comes on Mondays and Tuesdays for an hour from 21:00hrs. Only fault is there is not a kettle in the room but we read a previous review and took one. There is a family mart just a couple of doors down so milk, sugar, water easily obtainable. Take your own coffee or tea as can be quite expensive.

“Great Place”

This place is just across the jomtein beach, though my expectation wasnt great , it turn out to be great value for money for $30(900 bhats ) i stayed at garden facing room, though there was no garden , however this has been the only disappointment, room was clean, there isn’t any bugging from the staff, id dint tried the food so cant rate it, i saw from the room facing beach it was really nice, bed were cozy, they told me they don’t charge for guest ,there were tam 24x7 store nearby , conveyance is available just on the hotel gate , over all a great experience. Even for the family ins not such a bad place, lot of water actives across the road, if you are someone who doesn’t need too much a luxury to stay its a good place.

Room Tip: Take the beach side if you can afford few little more

“Absolutely Incredible!!”

We arrived in jomtien pattaya thailand on a pouring evening. My girlfriend and I started to grow frustated as the rain was beginning to make it harder for us to find a place to stay for the evening before going to Krabi the next day. We saw this small place and decided well whatever it was only for one night. Upon entering the lobby we started to see such beautiful interior and a really helpful staff. We chose a romantic seaview room and if im to be honest had absolutely everything in it! TV, Free Internet, Minibar, Absolutely spotless clean room, Luxurious bathroom as well with amenities and to top it all off great food and service from the restaurant as we decided to order room service. The rain eased up and we sat on our balcony and enjoyed a nice bottle of wine overlooking the sea. my girlfriend and i looked at each other and had the exact same thought we chuckled and called our hotel in krabi to cancel our reservation and stayed at the boathouse for the rest of our stay in thailand. I honestly dont know how SUSHOVAN S can be complaining about the service it is the greatest service i have ever received i would recommend this place to absolutely Everybody and anybody Top Class place.
