Well outside the din and bustle of Pattaya City this is a haven of peace and tranquility. It has a veneer of slightly faded elegance, but everything is functional, clean and pleasant. The ocean side rooms are brightest and best, although the cheaper rooms overlooking the small golf course are just as acceptable. The rooms are spacious, quiet and the a/c works well. Some bathrooms are tired. Breakfast is excellent although it can be a bit of a scrum when tours arrive, but there is plenty of seating available to avoid those with flying elbows and no sense of direction. Service on the patio outside is excellent as is the food served there at lunchtime. The pool is lovely and the meandering walk down to the private beach worth the journey back uphill. Happy hour in the small open bar area is very pleasant although there are always a few biting mosquitos. The bar staff there are efficient and friendly. Right next door is the lovely and romantic Cabbages & Condoms restaurant when wanting a change of restaurant venue without hiking into Pattaya. The plus side of the hotel, its headland location, is also a downside as the buses to and from the City can be costly. Its surprising how the cost of travel mounts up. I will stay here again in the future.
