“Expensive for a run down villa in an o.k. resort”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

I chose this resort because it was among the limited few hotels in Pattaya and vicinity that allowed pets and quoted as 4-star. The rate was close to what we'd paid for Pullman in Pattaya, 4K+ baht/night. We weren't expecting something luxurious for a place that allowed pets, yet we were hoping for something more decent for that price. The resort was alright but you did feel you were in a place that had been around for 30+ years. The villa we stayed in was very basic, small and old, it's of 3-star quality tops. We had a pad lock for locking the front door, that's how `old' and unusual it was. To be fair, the resort does have a lot of quiet roads for me to walk my dog; yet the soi between the resort and the beach were frequented by many med to big size stray dogs. It was a bit scary because my dog is somewhat aggressive. The restaurant food is quite ok and there are other little restaurants close by to choose from. The service is good and staff is friendly. It was a disappointing stay in terms of the hardware, but the staff there made the stay tolerable. For that kind of money, we could stay in a better-kept resort in Pattaya. And just a word of caution: the beach right outside the hotel is filled with male couples, it was fine with us, but if you are taking a family trip, be prepared to explain it to your children.

Dear Omo-Hk.

Thank you very much for your candid review of our resort. We remember you and you little puppy very well. Myself and Windy, our resort Manager, spoke with you many times while you were here asking if we could help you or if you had a problem. That is why your review is very disappointing. If you would only have told us we could have made changes to help you. We want to make sure all guests are happy - we will do whatever it takes. SERVICE = KINDNESS

We are all very sad that you were not 100% satisfied with your visit. You are right - the whole concept of the resort is "authentic Thai Village". It is designed to have people feel they are living in a time in Thailand that is now gone by. Actually, we use the pad locks on the old wooden doors on purpose, it's our concept. Many room doors are at least 100 years old. Most guests adore this back to the old time Thai idea. Plus, my husband and I drove for many months throughout the whole country searching for reclaimed wood that we used in all the houses. This gives the resort an "old time feeling". We prefer to use old wood rather than cut down new trees. In low season, we regularly improve, renovate and paint all rooms and areas of the resort. We have on staff a full team of wood workers and engineers.

Again, I am very sorry that you were not happy here and we will take your comments to heart and improve our resort. Thank you very much
Best bunny wishes - Deborah Mrs. Rabbit

“two nights in paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

I had a conference in chiang mai and after its termination i went Rabbit resort .It was absolutely perfect .hospitality and cleanness and perfect service was elements I sensed them in Rabbit resort.I felt my home in three days and two nights stay.the sense of tranquility in a family resort was unforgettable. The grill restaurant was perfect and excellent.
Above all I had to mention its management particularly Mrs.Rabbit who managed all guests problem tentatively. No doubt I will suggest Rabbit to any friend of mine flying to Pattaya.

Room Tip: the upstairs are must

“It is heaven on the Earth!”

I travel all over the world, but Just in this hotel I feel like in a heaven. You can find here everything what you want and of course - by the best way... The most important for me is that I really don't feel like in Pattaya as I know it before. It is romantic hotel with wonderful garden, perfect breakfast, very nice typical room and special people! In the evening it is quiet place, but if you want to have a drink, party, fun - just pay 20 THB for car and go to Walking street in a few minutes! For me it is a perfect combination of privacy and fun Pattaya-life. Thank you Mrs. and Mr. Rabbit! You are doing the great job!

“Asian Serenity, Stunning Sunset and Meets 5 Star Boutique Expectations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

We stayed for 7 nights at the Rabbit Resort and only wish we could have extended our stay. The staff meets your every detail request, learns your name and provides a haven of tranquility, and serenity. Accommodations are dotted among the jungle-like landscape palms and delicious smelling flowers and sprinkled nightly with Christmas lights. Airport transfer available by reservation and for a nominal fee. Check in is painless, designed especially for weary travelers. Separate Family and Adult pools is a perfect combination. Complimentary breakfast greets guest with a variety of food. The private R.R. orange beach umbrella draws you to view stunning sunsets. The beach is just steps from the resort. Don't miss eating at Bar and the Grill Restaurant, it's a treat. They also deliver to pool, beach and rooms. The large, spotless rooms and many of it's amenities like slippers, robes, hair dryer, beach towels, safe, mini bar, microwave, satellite t.v. ,a.c. and comfortable beds. Free Wi-Fi available in lobby area ONLY however guests have access to two computers. If location is important this is the place. Transportation to the city is near...but believe me you will be happy to return home to the RABBIT RESORT!!!

Room Tip: The rooms upstairs provide lush views and much privacy. The forest room was particularly appealing...

“Attention to detail”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

Stayed here for 6 days in January. Even though we are restless by nature, we wish we had booked for longer. The welcome and attention to detail by Mr and Mrs Rabbit and Windy made us feel at home. We had a cottage adjacent to the adult pool that was very comfortable. It was set up with a wall air conditioning unit which we preferred not to use and instead used a ceiling and a floor fan, the combination of which was perfect for our need. As stated by others the breakfast was very good and the chef prepared a cooked breakfast to order. There was also a good choice of breads, cereals and juices and other hot and cold foods. The coffee was particularly good. We had lunch 3 times, once on arrival and twice more served on the beach. The beach itself is a few steps from the resort and it was always possible to get a lounger and table. Most of the time the sea was OK to swim in but we did notice on a couple of days significant debris was in the water and that severely curtailed the number of swimmers. The resort pools are large, inviting and uncrowded and ideal for sunbathing although it is easy to find shade if desired. We had heard uncomplimentary things about Jomtien and Pattaya before our arrival but we found both to be OK and in fact more enjoyable than Patong in Phuket. There are a lot of places to eat within half a mile of the resort. The local transportation to Pattaya (10-15 minutes) is mostly in the back of specially equipped Isuzu trucks and costs 20 baht each on a shared ride on a standard route . A point to point private hire will cost 200 baht and up, one way. This resort is well worthy of its #1 ranking.

Room Tip: A cottage around the adult pool costs more but may be worth it. Try R1, R2 or R3
