“not the best”

me and my partner stayed at cosy beach in oct 2010, hotel staff spoke little english and at times were quite ignorant to us british, although if we were russian that would be a diffrent question!! we stayed in a standard room and it was very basic no balcony, our out look was a noisy boiler room, the pool area was very nice with a georgeous view, it cost us 120 thb to go to walking street 150thb to get back, although they will try to charge 200thb to get back, just walk away they soon come running!overall i would not recomend this hotel to british travellers, unless you dont mind been overwhelmed with russian tourists.

“If you want thailand No -Russia yes”

Having previously stayed at this hotel before and really enjoyed it thought I would try it again.BIG MISTAKE. Totally taken over by loud mouthed Russians, including surrounding area. Who only dress in swimwear, regardless whether in hotel or, outside with the "must have" large bottles of beer.Don't expect to sleep until after 3am- that when they get back to their rooms. So noisey. The hotel is in desperate need of modernisation throuhout. Rooms/bathrooms so out dated.
Majority of staff have a "can't be bothered attitude, especially the Reception.
Breakfast is no way classed as "Amercian". Nothing is freshly cooked nor will they that do it.
Certainly give this hotel a miss- ony , of course, if you want to stay in "Russia"

“cosy beach ("ocean wing" building) - good hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 October 2010

good location - not in the center of the city (so quiet street and more clean beach) but enough of cafes, fruit salers, massages etc.
good personal.
good rooms ('ocean wing' building)
and a lot of 'goods' :)

“GREAY FAMILY ESCAPADE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 June 2010

Booked this hotel direct after looking for so many hotels in Pattaya. I booked 2 standard rooms with pool view but when we arrived we were given rooms that is blocked by another building with no good view at all. I asked for another room & they upgraded us to a superior one with no charge. It has a very good view of the pools back & front as well as the sea view.
LIKES: 3 separate pools for adults & children
private beach
very good & bountiful breakfast
helpful staff/receptionist though english is not good
checking-in was quick as well as checking-out
spacious rooms with balcony
good housekeeping
few steps away from 7-11 & other convenient stores, restaurant, spa, tattoo
public transport is just around the corner

DISLIKES:
no free internet access/ u have to pay & can be very costly
hotel management should employ staff that has english knowledge esp those in the front desk
the reception area was hot when we checked-out. their reason is that they are saving electricity.

I recommend this hotel if you are looking for some affordable but cosy place. This place is really a nice & quiet area and I believe is safe to stroll around.

“Look elsewhere”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 April 2010

We arrived late eve after a long drive from Bangkok to be shown to a room which had mould on the walls. After complaining to reception and being told there was nothing else available we asked them to call the Kuoni rep as this really wasn't what we were expecting. Based on the state of that room I wouldn't have given it 1 star let alone 3! The Kuoni rep obviously had a little more clout than a mere customer as he called us back and had arranged for us to be moved to a suit which was much better and thankfully clean & mould free.
After a disasterous start I still wouldn't reccomend the place .. the pool was fine the food over priced and there was no bar for evening use. It was more suited to a business trip than a holiday.
If you are unfortunate enough to have booked already then I don't think you'll spend much time in the actual hotel so try the wishingwell on the opposite corner which did great food at good prices with a friendly atmosphere. Richard who owns it is english and will give you the low down on pattaya.
Cosy Beach is half way between Pattaya and Jontiem so not a bad location if you don't want to be in the heart of things, we hired a moped which helped but do wear the helmet or you'll get fined.
The hotel as a whole is dissapointing and lacked any sort of attmosphere. When we checked out they tried to charge us for phone calls we hadn't made from the original room which left us with a nasty taste and seemed to sum up the whole attitude of the place...staff first customer who cares?
