We stayed there recently for 3 nights having researched hotels in the area and this looked really nice but when we got there the only thing that matched is the entrance! They charged us 2883 baht per night when the advertised price on their website is !330 baht. Having pointed this out to the manager on the website he said it was a mistake, and said he would change it straight away but still has not. Shower too low, which in turn flooded bathroom. A lot of loud flushing noises let alone the construction work that was going on on the beach directly in front of it!!! The food and drinks were expensive for what you received.

This is a truly terrible hotel. It pretends to be something it is not. This is not a four staff and not a resort - nowhere near in fact.

The staff are rude, unhelpful, snobby and surly. The rooms are not made up. No one speaks english, and even if they do they will pretend not to sa as not to help you. I got food poisoning from the sea food restaurant. The beach is dirty and next to a sewage outlet. The hotlel is miles from the town and the shuttle buses are rubbish.

I was here for business and the hotel was obstuctive at every turn. I feel sorry for the one or two nice staff who have to work in this terrible place.

me and my partner have had many a great stay at the cholchan over the years, 7 in total,hotel is in a good location for relaxing away from the hustle and bustle of pattaya,the free shutle bus can take you into town if you want a bit more exitement and shopping,and it only cost about £4 in a taxi back if you miss the return bus which is very easy to do as pattaya starts comming alive later in the evening walking street in paticular great for people watching,but if you want to relax around hotel in the evening go down the lane into fat frog or pig in paradise and eat and drink at a fraction of the cost of hotel.i do have to add though that over the last maybe two or three years that there is more and more male groups in this hotel bringing local talent back at early hours ie 4 or 5 in the morning with no consideration for others so beware of this and the early birds of korean travelers who are up banging about at 5 or 6 in the morning to get on there tour coaches,but this aside great hotel great staff rip of drink prices poor beach but not hotels fault,ps a little hint learn some local phrases and use them with staff they will enjoy helping you pronounce them proper and have a laugh with you, learn staff names and give a small tip to pool staff and they will always remember you,HAVE FUN :-)
