Among all hotels I stayed before, this hotel is the worst hotel. After we checked in (at about 11p.m.), the staff guide us to our rooms. From the reception counter, we walk along few rows of abandoned hotels. All these abandoned hotels are dark (without any light); all the windows and doors have broken. While we are walking and passing by the abandoned hotels, we started to feel uncomfortable and a bit worried. After passed by few rows of abandoned hotel, we saw a swimming pool and few cats are hanging around. We walk further; the cafeteria area is on both left and right hand sides. It occupied quite a big space.
After passed by some plants/trees, we finally reached our rooms. The staff open the door for us. Oh my goodness, the room is with an unpleasant smell (seem like the room has been vacant for long time). The lighting in the room is limited and hence very dim and gloomy. The pillow case is with stain and the bed is uneven (full with hole and can feel the string when we lay on the bed). The air-conditioner is very noisy. There are a lot of mosquitos flying into our room because the plants/trees are around the corridor of the room.
The door and the wall for the bathroom are full with mildew/fungus. The wall in the bathroom even has many small hole (maybe is because the hotel is too old). The drape for the bathtub also full with mildew. All the facilities are with bad quality and poor maintenance.
The swimming pool is very dirty and not being serviced properly. Hence, no one is dare to swim in the swimming pool. The breakfast is not a buffer breakfast. The staff just served us a plate of breakfast with 2 fried eggs (already cooked in the early morning and it is cold when we are served), 2 pieces of hot dog, 2 pieces of ham, etc. The salad, bread, coffee/tea is self service but it is full with ants and fly. Another terrible thing is the chair for us to seat and ‘enjoy’ the breakfast. The cushion for the chair is not water proof. Hence, the seat is full of dirt and wet. The cats are hanging around and perhaps some cats are laying/sleeping on the seat and releasing the urine on the cushion. From the number of people taking breakfast at the cafeteria, we can roughly know that there are very few visitors staying at this hotel; we estimated that only about 10 rooms occupied (included 3 rooms from us).
With all the above-stated poor facilities and services, we have decided to move out and get rid from this terrible hotel after we stayed for 1 night (even we have made the payment for 3 nights). We are willing to pay extra for another better hotel.
In conclusion, this White House Resort is just like the ‘haunted’ hotel. Please get rid of it!!!
