Stayed here for three nights in early Dec,it was mostly a business trip & I took a room in the garden wing,even though my room was in the back of the wing was overlooking the side road I wasn;t disturbed & the room was large & comfortable.A few of my business colleagues got garden/pool view rooms but they were far smaller.
The open air lobby area was beautiful with lovely landscaping & a waterfall.The Staff at the reception were wonderful & helpful.Breakfast was ample & just the right quantity & choices & great coffee.Lovely Pools,all 3 of them,2 infinity & 1 with a swim up pool bar.
Amari Orchid is at the beginning of Pattaya Beach Road on The Dusit Thani side & right beside the Holiday Inn.In order to get to the Beach Road you need to walk downhill where you get to the 'Tavern by the Sea'which is the Hotels Sports Bar/Restaurant right on the Beach road,where you can start your evening with a quick drink before sauntering down beach road exploring shops,stopping off for a drink at the hard rock cafe or any of the many bars & eventually landing up at walking street which is right at the other end of beach road.If you want to go straight to walking street best to stop one of the many Hilux pickups & get off at walking street or anywhere before or after there & it'll only cost you 10 Baht no matter where you get off,
I did check out the 'Ocean Wing' & had a drink at the 'Ice Bar',very modern but also more expensive but would be worth staying there next time.
If you walk out of the garden wing lobby/entrance towards the gate(this is at the back of the hotel)turn right & you will find massage parlours,convenient stores,a couple of bars & thai restaurants all within 5 minutes walking.
Overall a great hotel & definately the best of 3 Amaris that i have stayed in Thailand.

Stayed for five nights in the garden wing ,no complaints about this beautifull hotel ,with grounds to die for ,the pools were spotless and the gardens superb ,eat in the Tavern by the Sea at the hotel ,pricey but a nice treat ,would book again no problem.

We stayed for a week in January. We were upgraded free to the Ocean Tower Wing. The rooms were fabulous, large, modern, with luxury fittings. The most comfortable king sized bed with an open plan bathroom with a deep bath and large separate shower. The room was light and bright with the curtains open but when drawn dark. Really liked the built in magnified mirror with light for putting on makeup etc. A small balcony was also a bonus. Our room had spectacular views of the pool/ tropical garden and ocean. The breakfast was diverse and of a high standard including cereal, juices, breads, pastries, smoked salmon, fruit, salad, soup, rice, noodles, vegetables, curries, egg station etc. The only negative about breakfast that the coffee is only ever warm as they serve it to you in like thermos jugs which they hold and is only tepid if you add milk. We also found the hotel had lots of mosquitoes especially under the tables outside. These are minor points and don't detract from our wonderful experience. The staff are polite
