“Very good value for the money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Almost three weeks in thailand and this was the best hotel on our trip. Great rooms, great seaview from balcony, great service, nice pool area, amazing breakfast. Cant really say bad things about the hotel itself. However the location is on the north pattaya, near the dolphin square so for party animals and such it can be quite far from the walking street. For the couple who liked some privacy and rest the place was perfect!

Room Tip: Try to get a room with sea view... Amazing

“Disappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

I know that Best Western is not the greatest brand name in hotels but I expected more from this hotel. For a hotel that is out of the way, I was hoping for a little character and good service. It is tacky, lacks character and not nearly as clean as it could be. The staff lack professionalism in how they communicate with guests and the breakest buffet was not great at all. There are far better hotels available and I made a mistake booking this one.

“quiet location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

Nice quiet location close enought to pattaya madness for access but peaceful enough for relaxation. We had sea view room on 4th floor, which was a good size with great views.only thing we found strange was viewing window into bathroom. We used hotel for the buffet breakfast of which there was always plenty of choice. It was a bit of a trek to main road but there was always the free tut tut, easy to arrange when leaving hotel but not so easy getting back, only a few minutes walk anyway.Don't stand by bushes while waiting for driver as you attract mossys.Nice quiet beach if you don't want hassle of pattaya beach but it is a problem getting into water due ti being very rocky. There are two nice food places on beach, really tasty, fresh cooked food and cheap.Only negative was front desk tried to charge us for condoms from the mini bar and as we had not used them,we refused to pay but this is a scam used in a lot of thai hotels.Overall a pleasant stay with more than reasonable facilities and helpful staff, who always had a smile to give you.

Room Tip: Rooms at front have seaview

“Awesome Value for Money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 December 2011

The hotel is at one end of the Pattaya beach, away from all the noise & hustle yet close enough for all attractions to be easily accessible. A bit of a drawback is that the hotel is set at a bit of a distance from the main road but not to worry, the hotel provides a free tuk-tuk to the main road allowing you to take one of the many hop on-hop off rides that do the rounds on the main beach road. In terms of ambiance, its not brilliant but the rooms are adequately good, there is a refrigerator and a flat screen TV. The swimming pool looks quite nice and the buffet breakfast is extremely extensive and has all that you would want ranging from multiple types of cereals, eggs to order, breads, fruits, varieties of yoghurts, cold cuts, Indian as well as Thai options. And best of all it the hotel is very reasonably priced. At a 4 day notice I was able to book it for about Rs 2000/day (US$40).

“Dirty. Never going back.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 December 2011

First of all, this is not a Best Western. By this experience, I am no longer staying in any Best Westerns ever in my life. Best Western has probably just let Belle Velle use their name...and no managing!
The service is okay. We just came from Cambodia border and were not sure if there was a ride to Pattaya and so did not booked, so we had to make it by laptop in the lobby. 'Did' gave us soft drinks while we were making the reservations through online kindly. Also the front dest provided me a free online account so I could make my reservation through WIFI.
I couldn't print the voucher so I showed the front dest the online voucher image I received from AGODA and the front dest asked me to send it to the hotel's email. I did that.
A poor thing is the hotel people are not pretty good english speakers. They speak a little...but sometimes we had confusions. I nodded often though I couldn't understand what they were saying to avoid 'What?, Pardon me?'. But they were nice and trying to give us services.
They give you free rides to town. Also maybe pickups(I didn't use this one...Did told me to call him giving his cell number but we preferred taking walks sightseeing) too. That may be some reason you could not see many people around the front desk sometimes(because they are going pickups and rides).

The facilities were not bad. They have most things you need.
No gowns no slippers. There was one road slipper which did not seemed clean.
At the first time they made the hotel, all would have been clean and stylish.
In my room, we had a kitchen with plates, spoons and forks with knives, glassed cups and dishes which were just dirty. So we did not use them at all. Before noticing, we bought avocado from mart but did not even think about eating it after finding out the conditions. Ah, there was also a sink.
The bathroom facilities were rusting. There were metal smells from them and they weren't shiny but looked dull and faded with smudges. There were two showers available; one in the shower booth with no glass walls and one in the bathtub. The shower booth one had rusty smells strongly from water so I used the bathtub one. The water pressure and temperature was nice though.
There are no shampoo or shower gels so you would want to prepare them with you. There were 2 toothbrushes with pastes and shower caps and a soap.

Not all lights in the room turns on. The bathroom light would only work on the sink and no lights on the tub or shower booth so it may be dark in nights.

There was a dead big fly on the floor when we checked in. It was squashed,,, disgusting.
There were also 3 mosquitoes in our room so we bought avoiding equip from the mart. We had to use it with lighters but we hadn't any and it cost only 10baht from the 1st floor.

There were cracks on the bathroom window wall too. We could see the concrete inside. The crack was quite big.

It seemed as windows, floors, bathroom floors and any facilities have been never wiped.
