A nice little by the beach getaway. Villa Tanamera has 6 rooms, and this offers you a nice personal experience, away from all the hustle and bustle.

There are some nice eating joints along the road within a 2 minutes walking distance.

The resort opens up to the beach and the strip though small is fairly well maintained.

The manager Tan is absolutely amazing with his service and will never say no to any request. The resort has no full service restaurant, but it was great of Tan to arrange drinks and a lovely meal on the villa terrace.

Tan will also guide you with respect to the places to visit and arrange quality day tours, unlike the other overpriced ones arranged by most hotels. A wonderful memorable stay at Villa Tanamera.

I would recommend this property to anyone who is looking to have a lil quiet and serene getaway.

We are happy to recommend Villa Tanamera to Koh Samui travellers. We stayed at a beach front villa with two children. Our experience in summary:

- Very spacious accomodation - two bedrooms with separate bath/toilet (think all villas are more less offering this)
- Spotless cleaning
- Beach front villa nice, butmost rooms seems to offer some kind of view and everything is close to sea
- Tasteful decoration of room
- Clean pool, fair size
- Great support to trips - we even got their help arranging for a car two weeks after we left
- Wonderful calm due to limited number of rooms
- Close to airport - which is convenient for short stays. Do not worry about noise, trafic is very limited
- Beach has nice sand and is good for swimming. The overall scene could be pretier de to some fishing boats nearby etc. but not a major problem.
- Good massage right on beach.

Overall, if you are looking for some good accomodation for a reasonable price you are likely to find this place a great alternative to large resorts etc.

Myself and a friend stayed here for one night whilst transitting around Thailand, and were pleasantly surprised by this place.

There are only a small number of Villas (6 from memory) and this gives a sense of privacy and relaxation rare to Samui these days. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a beachfront villa which I highly recommend, especially if you are traveling in a larger group or with kids. Very clean and spacious rooms.

The manager Tan is an extremely helpful and pleasant person who will go out of his way to assist his guests.

Whilst I much prefer to stay on the less developed/westernized islands of Thailand, I will definitely stay here again if I am in Samui.

We visited Villa Tanamera for 4 nights in August 2011. Tan (the manager) and his team is very friendly and helpful with everything from arranging trips, coming with good advice and just small talk during breakfast. The place is very clean and is located right down to the beach. The beach was fine during our visit and the sunsets amazing. The bungalows are surrounded by a small garden which is very nice.

It is located close to the airport, so 1-2 times per hour a plane is landing, but it wasn't something that bothered us. Close to the hotel is several local restaurants and within a few hundred meters there are convenience stores, drugstores and pubs/bars. The bars are not located so close so that you can hear them or the guests.

We will always recommend this place to others and when we hopefully come back to Koh Samui, we will also visit Villa Tanamera again. Thank you for making our stay at Koh Samui unforgettable.
