After an 8-day fast on another part of the island, I moved to the Spa Samui beach resort for a juice fast. Very little info is given to newcomers like myself, but you eventually learn the ropes from different people, either employees or clients.
The room at 1000 baht per night is pretty basic and somewhat depressing, with grungy walls (a paint job would make a big difference), sparse furnishings and very superfluous cleaning done (they don't move the night stand to sweep or wash so there was residue on the floor behind it-yuck).
Courses in Meditation, Yoga and Qi-gong are excellent, as is my massage therapist "Am". Steam baths are incredibly hot with tea served afterwards. A bit more cold water would be delightful, but I suppose it's just not possible.
The lesson in Colemas by Dr John was complete and very informative. However, I was surprized that they simply use tap water for this process as in other resorts they definitely do not!
The restaurant appears to have fantastic food, most of which I have yet to taste. The tropical veggie drink is my favorite.
I would most probably come back here but would opt to stay elsewhere. The rooms are pretty bad news.More
