this is my 4 time staying at this hotel and i have taken my mother and father there the staff i always found friendly and willing to help. the rooms are just that a room i would say dont stay at the back side of the hotel the frount rooms are far better, its so close to the real bangkok. you do get what you payed for and the asian breakfast will keep you going till lunch and beyond

Did not have immediate record of my reservation even when I had called three times from the states to confirm. The bell hop tried to hook me up w/ prostitutes. Not in a great area, but safe...China town. Close to the train staion for a few day get away to Chiang Mai...(they will keeep your bulk luggage very safe). The A/C blew during my stay, but was assisted into another room immediately. Internet is slow, breakfast was weak, rooms worn down and dark with some light bulbs out, however, cleaned daily. Hallways clean, but dark. They try hard to please. Get aroom in the rear and above the 5th floor for a view of the building tops...nice. Good variety of travelers from around the world were met there. Good laundry service.

I stayed here e few times the price is okay and you get good value for that.
one major plus is that the hotel is in walking distance of the railway station and in the middle of chinatown
Try to get a room in the back because front the windows are not noise free
Downside is the not so friendly frontdesk staff
