I have traveled all over Thailand in the past 2 weeks, and this by far is the nicest hotel I've had the pleasure to stay at! The people of Chaing Mai are so kind... A relief from the hustlers of Bangkok & Phuket. If you only had one week for a vacation, just come here & save your time! There is plenty to do out here as well... Elephant rides, tiger tours & even white water rafting! The hotel even provides free shuttle to the city. Bring an extra empty suitcase, the shopping is amazing!

My wife & I stayed 2 nights in this hotel. 

LOCATION
Approx 5km from Chiang Mai old town
- They organise 2 shuttles / day (one at 10:30am, the other at 6pm). 
- It take 15min by taxi to get to the centre (150bath)
Location is nice: at the border of a river, nice view, far from noisy roads

SERVICE
Staff is nice, young, sympathetic but there are pretty useless: there are 4 persons, but they don't do much thing except consulting Facebook!

except updating their facebook status! 
They don't book bus tickets and we had to ask 3 times to get a taxi to the bus station.
English level is poor. 

ROOM
We took a standard room: it's big (30m2), well decorated but it's old and it smells dust. You can have better rooms (more expensive) in the hotel. 
It's a litlle noisy due to people slamming their door. 

FACILITIES
Nice swimming pool. 
Free Wifi. 
You can have lunch / diner abroad the river. Restaurant isn't bad but not great. 
Breakfast isn't really good. 

CONCLUSION
I recommand this place for the location but choose a room with river view, use the restaurant only have a drink near the river. 

This is a beautiful hotel with many very attractive buildings overlooking either a beautiful central fish and lily pool or the River Ping

My daughter and I stayed here for a total of 4 nights with a gap in the middle when we went elsewhere. We really loved it - it is a very peaceful, tranquil place which we appreciated after spending time in the city and on tours. We enjoyed the fresh fruit for breakfast - I thought the choice of food for breakfast was great - and we also ate all our evening meals there. The food was really nice, the dinner service a bit haphazard, although the staff were always helpful and friendly, and we thought it added a lot to the experience. We had a basic room for the first 2 nights and then a room overlooking the river and pool which was really lovely (with a bath). We didn't mind being a bit out of town - the daily trips in the songtaew (?) gave us lots of opportunity to look around and absorb the atmosphere (and diesel fumes!) A friend recommended this hotel to us, and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for well-priced, comfortable accommodation in a tranquil and beautiful setting.
