The hotel is in two parts, a building with suites and individual bungalows set in jungle-like grounds.
The bungalows are in need of refurbishment, particularly the bathrooms, but I understand that this work has already started and the updated one seen was very luxurious. The bedrooms are large and comfortable.
. The pool is fairly small, but was adequate for the number of guests.
The restaurant was rather dated, but with the marvellous staff and lovely Thai food, who cares! The Western food was rather boring, we thought, but the Thai food was excellent and we only had to ask the staff for a favourite dish and it was cooked for us ,usually the next day, but on one occasion the Pad Thai noodles appeared during our half eaten meal. No wonder we put on a lot of weight! The staff went out of their way to be helpful and were cheerful and friendly.
Almost every evening there was a resident singer with accompanying musician. He was very good.
The free hotel bus went into the city every hour and there was a Carrefour supermarket the other side of the 'superhighway'.
The two Tuk Tuk drivers outside the back entrance spoke a little English and were friendly and helpful. They were happy to drive us to parks etc and wait for us for two or three hours.
The reason that we went to parks was to be able to walk for some way, as the roads were busy and the footpaths in a very poor condition, if they existed at all. The position of the hotel was our only real complaint.. It was an excellent holiday
