Front desk were helpful. Room power key not working right had to
Move to another room. Make sure u specify double bed I got two singles, was told all booked for first night but could move into double the next day. Basic but adequate rooms for budget travellers. Walking distance to night bazaar, 10 mins. no
Wi fi in room on level 5
But quite good in hotel lobby. I would rate this as 2 to 3 star hotel which would suit budget traveller.

“Sooo quiet, not many guests and staff”

We stayed for 3 nights. The hotel looks nice from the photos (which i believe taken before the grand opening!). Actually it's quite big but we didn't see any guests checked in/out but us!! So quiet that left an uncomfortable feeling. The staff are fine, but again... not many staff they have. We checked the swimming pool at night, to my surprise it was pitch black and empty. No signs of life! The room is spacious and looks just being re-painted. I like the big windows that help enlighten the room. Cleanliness is fine but our closet didn't seem to work well. We needed to flush several times. The shower is too low. I picked this hotel due to the promotion and location just 10minutes walk to the night bazaar. If return to chiang mai, better stay around the old city where has more comfortable ambience.

“Good value but a little out of the way”

Rooms are clean and wifi is good and free. For the price ($50) it was good value but the location is far from the centre of Chiang Mai

“great for the price and location”

recently stayed at the Lanna Palace for a conference. Quietly surprised at the price, $45/night, and quality of the hotel. The lobby had free high speed internet, staff are super friendly and helpful, and rooms are clean and more than keeping to the 4 stars. This is not a 5 star hotel, the furniture etc is a bit dated, but rooms are clean, the AC works, and the bed comfortable.
Breakfast is more than catered for, with the usual eggs, bacon etc, with also the Thai favourites. The night markets are but a 5 min walk away, some good coffee across the road, and a massage available next door.

Room Tip: ask for a room not on the road frontage.

“3-Nights Stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 November 2011

Booked a superior room at this hotel thro AirAsiaGo. On checking in found no soap in the bathroom. Contacted room service (problems finding someone who was conversant in English) & was given the impression that soap was not in stock. Instead they sent up 2 bottles of shampoo which on further request was changed to foam bath. Soap was provided the next day. The room in general was clean & presentable but there was no tea/coffee making facilities, no electrical kettle & no ironing board. The CRT TV set had very few channels in English. Staff were very courteous but said some of these facilities were only available in deluxe grade rooms & above. The food at this hotel was satisfactory. Hotel provided a free 1-way shuttle to the Night Market which we used on 2 nights & hired tuk-tuk for the 5-min. return trip.
