Very nice Hotel in Changmai old town,very good location,very good service, always wellcome with a big smile and very helpfull......lovely stylish Hotel...........

Very nice special place in chiang mai. Restaurant was excellent, room was clean, nice style and decoration. We enjoyed 4 nights and will book this hotel again at our next chiang mai visit

The location in the middle of the old city of Chiangmai is a real breathtaker from the first impression to the check out. Lovely small Thai style villas arranged to what I would call courtyard type village with nice, little rooms with modern interior. The service leaves no wishes open. The restaurant for breakfast and dinner has everything you could wish, from western to Asian. Prices are considerably moderate. The only downside are some barking dogs in the neighbourhood, which disturb the surprising quiteness of the citycentre.

I stayed at the Tamarind Village so far 3 times and would always go there back again. First time i have been there was in 2006, back 2010 and now 2011.

Back in 2006 this hotel was not that well known..but already then you had a feeling that your are truely welcome and everything has been done to make it a perfect stay.

In 2010 i went back and received a warm "welcome back" from the hotel manager. Meanwhile they have expanded the hotel but without loosing their goal to satisfy the customer needs. On my birthday we returned from the night market and wanted to have a drink at the restaurant ( every eveing they have local singers there, light up a lot of candles ) when sudenly they turned down all the lights and the whole staff started to sang Happy Birthday and brought me a cake. Was just spectacular!!!

The service there is outstanding without being pushy. Rooms are nicely decorated with the traditional Thai stlye.

All in all it is just one of the best hotels i have ever been and will always highly recoomend if they are interested in a smaller, traditional hotel where the customer is the center.
