With much regret my trip in Thailand was spoiled by this hotel...after having a fun filled stay in Phuket and onward to Bangkok .we stayed in this hotel 17th to 21 December 11.
The hotel location is not in the city area but they do run a shuttle bus to the night market area not much to do around the hotel. There is a supermarket next door. Once you go up to the floors its an old old hotel that has not been well kept. Rooms are very large but with old and worn furniture that is stained. the bed is massive and the bathroom is old and not clean.
The worst part was that they charged us THB600 for a bath towel which was stained (1/2inch) in a corner by my hair dye and housekeeping could not clean it..I asked them to try the bleach but they said they were not aware of any such thing??? and this was a white towel which was used several times and the price would not be more that a THB100 for a new one. I was disgusted and after much argument they still charged THB450...
During my 30 yrs of travelling and associated to very prestigious airline I have never come across such an incident.. worst part we could see the night manager siting in her seat and while this argument was heating up she quickly escaped through the back door.
Except from the reception staff other staff were not familiar with English and breakfast was terrible I will never recommend this hotel to any one and my advise please think twice b4 you book yourself.
