“Love it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

Top garden was everything we needed in our stay in Chiang Mai.
Is very cleen, simple and comfy.
We became very satisfied wen we saw the room, as the photos don´t make it justice - specially with the bathroom, that it´s much better than looks in the pictures, and very, very clean.
If it´s avaiable, choose the suite - for about 14€ you have a larger room, with a spot with a table and chairs to rest for a while.
The location is also good - in the entry of the old city, that you can see just walking, and in a 60 bath tuk tuk ride distance from the night market.
The owners are friendly and can give you tips about things to do and see.

Of course don´t have swimming pool, gym and that kind of facilities, but we didn't need it at all, as we spent the days out.

If i ever return to Chiang Mai, my choice is made.

“Highly recommended stay!”

My partner and I stayed at the Top Garden Boutique Guesthouse for 4 nights - a stay we highly recommend!

We were most impressed with the service. The charming, english speaking, owners were always accommodating and happy to assist us with their great local knowledge.

The rooms were spacious and clean - staff would make up the room daily and provide us with fresh sheets and towels.

A strong wifi connection is available in addition to the computer with Internet located in the lounge which is connected to lobby area.

Top Garden Boutique is located in a small lane, off the main road, and not far at all from the Sunday Markets. ATMs, restaurants and bars can all be found within a few minutes walk.

If you are looking for a great stay while in Chiang Mai, we highly recommend the Top Garden Boutique Guesthouse!

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

Excellent guesthouse in a quiet lane close to everything. The charming hosts take very good care of their guests and are a good source of local knowledge. Impeccably clean and well-appointed rooms have everything you need and the free WiFi is a bonus. Excellent value for money - would highly recommend and also stay there again myself. The Dutch guesthouse down the lane serves very good food, try the John Dory fish in mustard sauce - heavenly!

“Best economy place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

This guesthouse is a basic and economical place, so don't expect anything that feels like a hotel. It is very charming, comfortable and homey. Cleanliness is taken very seriously. All rooms are different in size and shape and prices differ according to size. The bathrooms are small and there is no separate shower area, so the whole bathroom gets wet when you shower. There's no food outlet, though there's coffee and soft drinks for sale. The building is wifi-connected. The owners - a couple - are very helpful with anything that guests are concerned about. There are two cleaning ladies - one is very friendly, the other surly but she does a good job at cleaning. Walls are thin, so bring ear-plugs. Location is in a little lane that sometimes sees mad motorcycles and tuk-tuks and sometimes cars blasting through. But the area is considered downtown in the tourist area, and there are markets, restaurants and food stalls all around. For the price, it's the best you can get.

“Friendly and reasonable”

I got a standard double room for 350 baht. It was small but comfortable. The owner is very friendly and helpful. It is only a minutes walk to the moat and yet far enough from the main road to get a pleasant night sleep. There is no bar or food at this guesthouse but it is a great place to sleep. Overall a pleasant stay.
