After reading the rave reviews I was very excited to book a room through Nuy to stay here. We stayed four nights and felt more like intruders then guests. David was kind enough to provide us some information on off the beaten path activities, however between his and his wifes moodiness the stay was a tad tarnished. Don't be fooled by all the rave reviews on tripadvisor. Their people skills and customer service were horrible. I guess once you gt ranked high on tripadvisor you can just give up. Room was never cleaned or madeup. Maybe we caught them on an offweek, but who knows, better options exist.

I came back to chiang mai for the famous hospitality but boy was I dissapointed by this place. It doens't have a really homely feel about it. The room itself is way to big and as a result they think they can overcharge their guests on this basis. We had cockroaches in the Bathroom, but that's not unusual for Thailand. The owners were initially friendly, helping me change money and putting us in touch with a driver who helped us get to Tiger Kingdom. But when I questioned the rate they charged us (which was more than the other guesthouses in the area), which was more than we were quoted by email they claimed they recently put up their prices (although this was NOT listed on their website). Furthermore the owner then quite rudely turned his back on us, and they both refused to talk to us for the remainder of the visit. I wouldn't recommend this place due to the owners who are not very friendly, and seem to treat guests like an annoyance they have to 'deal with'.

Only got to stay here a few days. Always wanted to return, but they were booked constantly for every other day I was in town.

Only a five star system here? So I guess I can't give it six.

The couple who run it are great. Just leave David alone though until he has his morning coffee. ;-)

The rooms are huge, and only have like three units, each on it's own floor.
Very private. A little escape from CM anytime you want.
And the WiFi works inside the room, always a big plus for me.

I really enjoyed staying at this guesthouse. Dave and Nuy were really lovely and accomodating. They made sure that I was comfortable and were quite helpful in informing me about places to visit in Chiang Mai. The room was quite big and clean. I also liked the friendly atmosphere of the place. Also, the guesthouse is within walking distance of the center and of various local eateries. All in all, it was an enjoyable and pleasant experience. I highly recommend this guesthouse.
