Hosts Doug and Fine were delightful. They were enthusiastic, helpful. We had a large group (4 rooms) adn they picked us up at the trainstation, delivered us to the airport personally. This is a relatively new place, so their freshness and sincerity helped make it special. It's very small and not the fanciest- but then, in Thailand "fancy" is relative. As in all of Thailand, you don't feel good drinking the water (bottled water is everywhere and cheap) and you're not supposed to flush the toilet paper. Food was good, location excellent, we felt safe. Downside was the mattresses, but again, this was everywhere we went in Thailand. They are thin and so sleep is fitful. At Christmas they celebrated with us with food in the small lobby. Free Wi-Fi, not compelled to participate in elephant rides and trekks, etc as reported in one of the travel books sometimes happens but they are happy to help set one up.

I have stayed in many guest houses in Chiang Mai and can honestly say that Junior house won't disappoint you. Place is situated in the city centre however you will get a good night sleep as it is off the main road, in the nice quiet location. Stuff is exceptionally friendly, rooms are very nice and clean and there is also a nice roof terrace with a hot tub too. We got offered a free airport pick up which was a nice bonus :)

We stayed at Junior House during the Loi Krathong festival of november and had a fantastic time thanks to Jeff, Nice and Sake. They organised a party on the rooftop of their guesthouse, which is an excellent spot to view the sky on such a night. Nice had prepared everything so that we could make our own krathong and launch our lantern into the sky. We all went to the river together to put our krathong on the water as well. This was totally unexpected and made the day unforgetable. These people are exceptionally friendly and efficient. Good rooms, good food, good location and outstanding service ! Don't hesitate, you won't regret it.

You realy feel like your home when you stay at Junior. Its the most kindest staff in Thailand. but be aware our plan was to stay 1 week but we liked it so much that it ended in three weeks! The rooms are nice and food is greate aswell. If you need anything the staff will help you. We realy recommend Junior!
