I had an Amazing stay here. Tanita house has character and is So peaceful. The guesthouse owner Ms. Aok is simply awesome. Every morning she made each guest scrambled eggs, veggies and bacon. I would so recommend anyone coming in to Chiang Mai to stay here for it's location and great atmosphere. Also, to even be more gracious... since it is a small family owned Bungalow guesthouses the morning I was due to depart for the airport I asked to have a cab set up for me and she offered to take me since things has slowed down by my departure time! That sort of service does not come every day the best experience ever.

We had a wonderful week staying at Tanita House. The teak bungalows are beautiful from the outside, and decorated in a simple and tasteful manner. The room, with ensuite bathroom, was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was lovely: fresh coffee or tea with toast, muesli, egg/bacon and fresh fruit. Aor was so welcoming and her and her staff so helpful, they always made sure everything was ok for us and gave us good advice on days outs and visits. We plan to go back on our next trip to Thailand. This place is a gem.

The bungalow was very clean, and met our expectations.
Breakfast was excellent, and Aor made us feel very welcome.

Aor and her family offer a wonderfully welcoming home from home. We had a lovely bungalow room in the grounds of Tanita House. It was very clean and comfortable. Towels were renewed daily and each evening, a mosquito coil was thoughtfully lit at the threshold. In the main house, fresh cold water and milk were constantly available as was boiling water for tea and a fresh coffee machine. We loved the fact that wifi was available in our room and that we could print off tickets using equipment available to guests in the main house. Breakfast was freshly presented and delicious.Tanita House is within easy walking distance of bars and restaurants along the riverside and a reasonable walk into town. The only downside (but hardly the fault of the establishment) were noisy neighbourhood dogs and at the weekend, less than tuneful music from bars further up the road.
