The rooms are in traditional Thai buildings: a converted rice barn, meeting house, store room. All made of teak and modernized perfectly, with aircon, ensuites, and really comfortable beds. Being down a long drive off a busy road makes this a peaceful haven, with beautiful grounds removed from the hustle and bustle of Chiang Mai. There was free bottled water, free wifi and internet, generous breakfasts and a really lovely family.
Aor in particular was so kind. She took me to the airport, and welcomed me fulsomely on my 2nd visit. She gave me really useful tips about things to do and see in Chiang Mai, which I would not have found out by myself. The only thing is that there is no single rate, so it's definitely more economical for a couple or family than for a solo traveller, but for me it was so worth it that it'll be the only place I stay when I go back to Chiang Mai.
