“Clean and Friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 March 2010

Just off Khoa San Road, still busy but not as noisy as the other roads. The family room was able to sleep 3 but we needed it for four. Probably get two rooms next time, it would have been almost the same price. Lots of places to eat and great massages. Your room had nice clean towels and crisp sheets. The place had a lift and we felt very safe. I would bring my family (2 adults 5 and 7 year old) back to this place.

Large room, tiny bathroom. Good, working clean AC. No free WiFi. No shower curtain. _Very_ hard matress. Safe only in reception. Quiet area of Rambuttri. Accept joiners for a small fee. The room we got had an intense smell of tobacco-smoke. I checked this hotel with tripadvisor before I booked. I still wonder how hotels like this get their rosy reviews.

“Great place, great value”

Rambuttri House became our base as we came and went from Bangkok to other cities. Great location in KaoSan Rd area, very decent rooms. cheap wifi access, and good service. They have safety deposit boxes if you need it and they can store luggage for free if you have a reservation there or for very cheap if you don't want to reserve a room for a future date.

The only thing we don't recommend about this place is the tailor shop located in the lobby of the hotel (and their affiliates located across the street). Unfriendly once you have made contact and try to do business with them.

“Great, central to khao San and Bangkok life....recommend to stay!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 November 2009

800bht per nite, (Exchange 30 to AU$1) not too noisy, not that you stay here for the tranquility....Nice bright room, Clean, good A/C with 2 windows that could open! Room at the front for watching the nite life.

Bathroom had crazy set up with shower behind the door. messy!

Big TV lots of chanels on cable, internet downstairs, absolutely safe and secure place.
Friendly hospitable staff, sitting area for a cold Singha with tranquil fish pond.
Completely in the midst of the action/markets/food/peeps.

Cross the road for boat around city, 15 mins to pratunam for more shopping..

Dental clinic, pharmacy, Bars abound!! 7-11 across road..
Wot more do you need for a week in Bangkok!! or 2!

“A first”

Sister lived in Thailand for a year and 1/2, so took the opportunity to go visit Thailand too. This place was pretty decent. We got a 1 bed room with 3 beds. Had a AC unit with remote. Stayed on the 3rd floor and the room was fairly quiet and didn't hear much noise. Noise was not an issues for any of us since we were quite tired traveling half around the world on a 20hr trip. The internet here cost 100 baht a day and they reset their password at 9am. I mainly used it to stay connected back home and upload pictures for home to see. We only slept and shower there, but did not experienced the whole hotel since we mainly went around Bangkok and see bigger attractions. This place is fairly close to the backpacking street, where lots of the night life is. Very fun meeting new people from different countries. Staff here was nice and speaks english. The room has cable, but most of the channels were in Thai or Korean, or movies dubbed in Thai. Bathroom were a bit smaller than what I'm used to at home, and there is not a bath tub, but a standing shower right next to the sink. Over all it was still pretty nice, if you compared it to some of the other people living in Thailand, this is not as bad as most people are complaining about. Visiting a new country and experiencing the culture is what people should get out of this trip and not waste time picking out the negative things to say about a hotel you are staying at. If you care more about a hotel rooms that you stay in, than you should travel some where else.
