Its been just over 2 years since I stayed here last - but as there is no other reviews here I will post my experience - although it could be out of date…
We stayed there for 1 week, mostly on recommendation of backpacker friends and also because of the cost. Its cheap and that is what you get. The staff are nice and I had no problems with English at the front desk. The cleaning staff and friendly and a trip goes a long way. I had a room with aircon (which costs more), unlike my travel companions who were used to the heat. Hygiene levels in the room were acceptable for the price. There was mould inside wardrobe and a few roaches here and there. Bathroom was ok, but no real hot water, just tepid… which is ok given the heat, as I could survive a hot shower. The location isn’t bad. Its way up a side street off Sukhumvit, but short walk to Nana sky train and shops, bars, etc.
I get the impression it’s a no questions asked kind of place. For example: A friend visited us from Pattaya for the day and is often the case, we got so drunk he didn’t go back. There was no problem getting him a room at 4am, with no passport or ID. Also there were lots of people bringing bar girls / bar boys back to rooms and front desk staff didn’t even blink an eye. Probably due to its proximity to Nana Plaza.
For those of you who have seen the Beach, it reminds me of the hotel where Leonardo DiCaprio met Robert Carlyle near the start of the movie.
Basically its for those of you on a small budget or who want some anonymity near Nana Plaza or Soi Cowboy.
