great little place and really close to transportation. Highly recommended for a good base to explore chaotic Bangkok.

Small, clean hotel, friendly staff - a bit away from the main tourist attractions, but in a nice (but busy) area, nonetheless. Rooms are a good size with comfy bed and spotless ensuite bathroom. Breakfast is good (and healthy) and you could sit there all morning drinking the fabulous coffee in the air-con. The owner has lived here for years and is always willing to help you plan your day, places to eat or drink or assist with booking tickets etc. This is a godsend in a place as huge and confusing as BKK. Print the map from the website as there is a sister hotel 2 minutes walk away and the taxi may drop you at the wrong one before you realise. Do not take taxis from inside the airport terminal (the ones you book outside are much cheaper).

This place hidden inside a lane is a little hard to find at first, they had sent me a picture with the address in Thai to give to the taxi driver but even with this information it was not easy to find.
It was so hot! and the air conditioner did not cope at first but eventually was OK
We kept the blinds closed day and night because there was nothing to look at outside.
For those who want to be near Sukhumvit this is a good place, very friendly and the breakfast was quite good and prepared individually for us.
There is a free computer at reception and pretty good WiFi available in the room.

We spent two nights at Baan Sukhumvit's Soi 20 location in mid-December 2010. We stayed in a very nice room on the third floor with a king sized bed and large, clean bathroom. The staff were incredibly accomodating. They provided logistical advice and stored two of our bags for ten days while we visited other portions of Thailand. They also moved our bags to their Soi 18 location, where we had a room booked upon our return to Bangkok.

There are many good places to eat within easy walking distance of the hotel, as well as being not too far from the crazy world that is Soi Cowboy. Also very close to the subway and Skytrain.

We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
