This hostel is an execellent backpacker's refuge in the heart of the busy Rambutri street. We stayed for 4 nights, spent 610 THB each night on a double private ensuite equiped with air conditioning and window.
The room was clean and comfortable, and despite the fact it is located in a very noisy area, it's recluded and quiet for a good night sleep. Excellent for the ones who want to enjoy the fun and crazy night of Koa San Road, and afterwards enjoy the peace of the hotel room.
In addition, it is a walking distance to most of the temples and touristic places, including the bus-boat stop, which takes you almost everywhere along the river for only 15 THB a day.

This place does what it says on the tin - it's a good value clean backpackers accommodation option in the heart of Bangkok's backpackers village.

A well-oiled machine, brilliantly managed with a variety of rooms that fit every budget. Right in the centre of everything but still quiet and peaceful.

Don't expect much soul or character though, it's just not that kind of place.

Highly recommended, in particular for short stays or people new to Bangkok.

I stayed here for a couple of nights when I was in bangkok.
It cost 600B for a air conditioned room with a private toilet.
Lamphu house is only a 2 min walk from ko San road and many of the attractions in bangkok are not to far away.

The hotel is set back away from the main roads so it's not too noisy at night!!

All in all a good place to stay and I'm going to stay here when I return to Bangkok

On arriving in Bangkok, we stayed here for two nights and were made to feel very welcome by the staff. Lamphu House is part of the Old City area and within easy reach of the Grand Palace area - short tuk tuk ride of 50 to 60 baht. Nearby is Khao San which is great fun to walk down, day or night, and just enjoy the crazy atmosphere, as well as the great shopping and street food. My kids loved it, thought we were really cool for choosing this area:) As for the rooms ast Lamphu, they were clean with decent bathrooms and first class air conditioning. The restaurant food was excellent, authentic Thai food (the best cuisine in the world) at good value prices - £15 for six of us. Would stay here again.
