“Angry Swede”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

I was staying here with my girlfriend and not only was the staff so rude that my gf was allways upset after talking to the staff cause they where rude. I didn't know this before i payed for 3 day.

We booked the Jacuzzi suite thinking we would realy spoil ourselfs but there was no internet cable in suite, The remote didn't work for more then 75cm and the amount of hot water the jacuzzi offered would need 24h to fill up a bath and then all would be cold agen.
We complained and technicians came to room and basicly told us thats best they can do. We complained some more and after talking to a new girl in reception we got a change of room to a normal suite since jacuzzi without hot water is useless. (only good experience was the talk with this girl that I cant remember name of) New suite didnt have jacuzzi but atleast 4 times more hot water to the bathtub so it was pure BS that they could not fix it to first room. Specially since the sink in Jacuzzi suite had alot more hot water.

We could not get help with bags and we could not get help with calling a taxi. Every other meeting in reception was awfull and even tho i dont speak Thai i even felt offended at one point. Never any kind of polite hello when comming or going they where more interested in sitting in the lunchroom behind counter.

Food was tasteless and felt old.

All in all, out plan to have the best room of my stay in Thailand my last 3 days ended up been one of the worst rooms and we have slept in anything from 400B to 5000+ B rooms.

Each room is set up and designed like a cheap romance hotel room. You have mood lights and mirrors on places that you either hate or love. Breakfast is basic chicken sausage, egg, bread, salad, fruits, ham, fried Thai rice/noodles, coffee, tea, cordial juices, and rice porridge.

Minibar and room service is cheap. You also get 2 bottles of drinking water per day.

The highlight of the hotel is probably its facade.

“If they can just move to a different location...”

I've been staying here 2-3 times a year for about 3 years now just because it is near our Bangkok office. And for me that is it's main problem - location. Yes, the nearest MRT station is about 3-5 minutes walk. But from then on its a succession of looong MRT & BTS rides to get to the city "proper". If you do a lot of shopping, this is not the hotel to be staying in as you will be left lugging around all your things inside the trains and that 3-5 minute walk back to the hotel; unless you take a cab which could sometimes be cheaper, depending on time & traffic. There is a shopping mall and supermarket a few MRT stations away, though. And that huge weekend market is also a few stations away going the opposite direction. But Sukhumvit is a long way off.
Its a modern-looking place. The rooms here are nice, clean & roomy. Though in some rooms, the bathrooms are really tiny. Breakfast used to be great, but recently it's been taken down a few notches. This hotel is also quite popular as venue for company workshops & seminars, meetings and party receptions. When this happens, you don't get your usual buffet breakfast but a la carte.
Staff are friendly enough. Internet status differs depending on the floor - some floors you get WiFi, on some you don't, and have to use a cable.
It's a comfortable enough place to stay in, but not so quiet. That main highway is just outside your window (if your facing that way).
If I'm coming to Bangkok and going to our office a lot, I'd probably stay here for the convenience. If its the shopping and the action of Sukhumvit you're going for, its best you look for something in that area.
