“never again”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 October 2011

This hotel is so well hidden that not even the local taxi drivers know about it. Very unfriendly staff, no help with the lack of internet despite the fact that we had bought access. The restaurant located at the hotel is way too expensive. Not value for money.
When we checked out the receptionist was very rude. We had from the beginning told them that the internet did not work, but they still wanted us to pay full price.
Only good thing was the Beergarden located 150 metres from the hotel. Great food and friendly staff.
If you are on a business trip to Bangkok, you will not be able to work in this hotel.

Room Tip: the rooms are big since it is residences, and for longstay NOT BUSINESS TRIP, then no problem. Just...

“Quiet and comfortable Resident hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 August 2011

I stayed at Grand Mercure Bangkok Asoke Residence for 5 nights.
I recommend the hotel to stay long when you have time on your side.
I enjoyed a hotel's restaurant, gym, pool and the quiet atmosphere.
But it is a little inconvenient to take 7-8 minutes on foot to go to Asoke BTS station if you want to hurry. Picking up Motor cycles is too much challenging for the foreign tourists.
All of the hotel's staffs are very helpful and hospitable.
Though the inside interior decorations are not so original, everything is spacious, functional and pleasant.
Especially a full kitchen equipment is perfect.
