“cheap and cheerful”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

stayed here for one night in a double room. it was ok and not too expensive for what we needed. very small but clean. Noisy as the walls were very thin!! staff were ok. would reccomend if you want somewhere just for a sleep! lots of cats here!breakfast was cheap here but greasy! however it is ideal as it is very close to khao san road if thats what you want!

“A budget place in Khaosan for backpacker who's out most of the time”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

If all you need is a safe place to sleep, a hot shower, an AC room to rest after a long day heading out, this is a suitable choice. Once you just afford this price, don't expect too much. As I said, a tuck-away budget place in a small alley of Khaosan st. Stayed here 1 night in Jan 2012.

Room Tip: I don't have any tip to help you to pick the room, but I recommend you should try the Lava Club...

“Has become a tourist trap hotel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

Used to be one of my favorite places on the Khao San Rd, but this place has "fallen down". The rooms have always been very small but they used to do other things to make up for it. Bhe staff has become unfriendly and they just don't service the rooms or air conditioners very well any more. It's a great location, but you might as well stay at the Top Inn across the alley.

If you've gotten stuck staying here because of a booking, it's still safe and the bed are comfortable enough, so that's the two things it has going for it. If they lose those things, though, this place is a goner.

Room Tip: Go across the alley to the The Top Inn if you want to stay in this excellent location.

“The worst hotel during my time in Thailand”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 August 2011

Luckily I only had to stay at this hotel for 1 night, but it is definitely the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in. It was a budget hotel and therefore I wasn't expecting five-star accomodation, however I also wasn't expecting what I got!! As soon as you walked into the bedroom the musty and stale smell was terrible, the air conditioning wasn't working and was blowing out smoke and dripping water all over the bed, and the bed cover was covered in dead bugs. I went down to the reception to complain, but the staff were less than helpful and after a long conversation they reluctantly changed me into a different room which was better and more as expected. I was just shocked that they actually let rooms of this standard out to guests and that they obviously don't check the rooms before people check in. Definitely not somewhere that I would recommend or will stay again!!

“Great little backpackers hotel - central to Kohsan rd”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 August 2011

Stayed here for 1 night at start of hoiday and again 3 weeks later for 1 night .
Central on kohsan rd to all shops stalls bars etc. Basic hotel, but clean, with ensuits and enough for a one night stop.
Only problem is there are lots of these hotels from same chain. Maybe about -5 similar hotels from chain in area. Make sure you know that this is the hotel on the kohsan rd.
good internat access in reception area.
defo stay here again.
