My family (husband and 10 year old daughter) were only in Bangkok for a couple of days. We wanted somewhere decent and close to the main attractions to minimise travelling around the city. Chakrabongsa was ideal for this.

We stayed in the Riverside villa which was perfect for the three of us. We arrived in the evening and the views out over the river were beautiful. We were located almost directly across from the reclining Buddha and just down the road from the Grand Palace so it made the sightseeing easy.

The breakfast and dinner (if you chose) was served right on the river. The setting is very intimate as there are only four villas on site. There are places to lounge and look over the river which is nice. We did not use the pool.

The downside is that I was not particularly impressed with the wooden box that we were sleeping in. All of the shutters had to be closed at night and it was rather stuffy. However, overall it was a very convenient place to stay.

We have just returned from an amazing couple of days staying in the Riverside Villa. The room was beautiful and the dressing area had been made into a little bedroom for our daughter. We loved the place so much that we didnt make it the tourist spots nearby and just relaxed by the pool and took the boats out. Breakfast overlooking the river was unforgettable as was the one evening meal we had there. Atom and everyone else were so helpful the service really was top class.
This must be the best place to stay in Bangkok and we certainly be coming back.

Very expensive (by my standards) but you really get what you pay for. Superb accommodation, great food and the location - it's all about the location.

If you want somewhere genuinely cool to stay, this is it. In terms of location it's like staying in Houses of Parliament; the Sydney Opera House; The Fullerton. Best of all it's small and a proper boutique hotel where you can relax and have a very, very pleasant stay.

We are in love with Chakrabongse! Atom is the best....it's a tough call...what's better???? Atom or the accomodations? We had a rough night during our stay and couldn't find a restaurant that was open and her staff surprised us with an impromptu dinner outside our beautiful villa. It was such a beautiful and delicious surprise! The view from Chakrabongse is unbelievable...wait until you spend time at the pool!!!! The entire experience was such an unforgetable treat!
