hi well what can i say i think the bad review at the top is very very wrong! we use this hotel when we stay in bangkok and its great! yes the staff have very little english speaking, but i dont have any chineese under my belt apart from hello and goodbye and we did fine, nice old styled rooms comfy beds! quiet so you get a good nights sleep, the food was good but a little expensive for the hotel, easy walk to the china town markets and the asian markets that you can lose yourself in! train station ten mins walk, the river close by, and if you ask the concierge for a taxi, mini bus or for directions for anywhere he will get it or sort it for you i think just a little friendliness and patience is needed after all the hotel is in china town you would expect them to be chineese! if you get lost when walking around just ask a police officer on almost every busy street corner and they will guide you back! take a business card from the hotel to show taxis or police! beats the hell out of khosan road! found it on agoda but booked direct, would reccomend you try it.
