Location: quite central and not far away from the fancy shopping malls, yet in a quiet neighbourhood. Close to many great restaurants and a 7-11 right next door.

Service: Very nice and helpful, especially the gentleman with glasses (sorry I didn't ask his name.) and the lovely lady who checked us in. The breakfast was tasty and hearty. It would be better if add one or two more options for the main dish.

Facilities: The aircon was great and it created an cool oasis in such a tropical area. The furnitures and decorations were simple, but with good taste. The quality of bathroom amenities was good. I like the complimentary mineral water served in glass bottle, which was environmental friendly.

The owner of the hotel is a beautiful lady who speaks very good Chinese and English. The only shortcoming was that there's no aircon in the lobby and public area. That's the oven we had to pass through before we entering the cool oasis - the room.

This hotel has great staff at the heart of everything. I arrived very early: they let me check in and upgraded my room. I ate something that didn't agree with me: they went to the pharmacy on my behalf and got me medicine. I was struggling to communicate with the Cab drivers, who were not recognizing the Thai addresses I had printed on cards" they came and waited in the street with me, until we found a cabbie who knew the place I wanted to go. I had an early flight out, they prepared me breakfast with the specific ingredients I had requested. Everything was done with a smile. Rooms are clean and spacious. Very pleased with value for money here.

We emailed the hotel to let them know were arriving late (11pm). Out host had cooled the room down, greeted us in the lobby with refreshments, and took our breakfast order and luggage to our room. Two bottles of water were always in our room each day. The next morning, our table was ready downstairs with the most beautiful breakfast of chicken or pork with rice wrapped in banana leaf, broth, special desserts and drinks. We walked out of our hotel right into the life of Bangkok. I appreciated that and was so glad we didn't stay in a different hotel. We walked to the pier, we walked to a wet market, we walked to our cooking school. All of our outings were assisted with directions from the staff. Our last day there required us to leave for the airport before breakfast, so the staff prepared a box meal for us! They gave us a gift before we checked out with a note thanking us for our stay.

This service is to be commended. Never have I stayed somewhere that have done so much to make me feel like I was a true guest of their home.
