“Outstanding hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

Have stayed here four times whilst n holidays over the years and have found it to be clean with first class service. Advertised as three star it comes across more as five. The location is outstanding close to markets, food and the modern city centre. The rooms are maybe smaller than the more modern hotels but are still excellent with good clean facilities.
Another rood tip if coming for the first time is to ore book an airport transfer to avoid the scrum that happens in the airport, either that or make sure you get an official taxi.
Remember Bangkok you either love or hate! We loved it!!

Room Tip: Go for an upper floor the views of the bustling city are great, also worth asking if an upgrade is a...

Most time when I'm in Bkk I stay Baiyoke Sky/Boutique Hotel because it's near Their city town. But this time round I thought of try some pl nearer to Platinum wholesale mall So choosen Ingra Rengent Hotel for 4day 3nights... At first day arrived at e counter service staff is gd & quite helpful, But Really disappointed with their Rooms... Cleanliness is terrible Even after 2nd day of make up room was done... Still got ants housefly etc... Floor Carpets & furniture looks old too! Overall experience gd at only the staffs & location.

Dear KittyTLC,
Thank you very much for your recent stay with us and your valued comments.
I am glad to learn that you enjoyed our location and hospitality. I sincerely apologize for your disappointment with our room. Due to the sudden onset of near full occupancy we were unable to fumigate insects and deep clean carpet/furniture. We will get back on our routine as soon as possible.
Sincerely Yours,
Udom Vanichkajorn

“Shoppers paradise”

I have stayed at the Indra twice and loved it. It is one of the rather pricey places to stay in BKK but definitely worth it - Great rooms (we stayed in superior on top floor), friendly staff, nice food/restaurants, but for me the stand out was the location. There is a shopping mall attached to the hotel! As well as it being walking distance to Pratunam markets and Platinum Fashion Mall (my idea of heaven). Only downside was there was no restaurants close by and the hotel brekky was average. Also dont get sucked in by the taxi guys out the front. Get a metre taxi and tip and it will still work out 3 times cheaper than those hotel taxis. Overall we had a pleasant stay for a quick shopping trip. One more tip - Get the Skytrain from Ratchaparop Station (3 min walk from hotel) and you can go straight to Suvarnabhumi Airport for 40 Baht. Enjoy!

Room Tip: Top floor has a great view of the city.

“Good location, price and pool”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

Great location for walking to shopping malls - MBK, Palladium etc. Beware, even though these shops say they open at 9am, the majority were not open for an hour or so after this. There are hundreds of little market-style shops and a good food court in an adjoining building to the Indra Regent - entrance off the Indra lobby near McDonalds - these seem to close around 8pm. Seven 11 food supermarket just over the road from the Indra Regent. Any food and drinks bought at restaurants at the Indra Regent was very expensive - we got caught out with the free meal voucher, which did not include drinks - for four fruit drinks we were charged NZ$35. The rooms were good - not flash but decor OK, fixtures OK, no insects seen, cleaning was good, quiet at night (other than the noise of toilets flushing in rooms around you). Gym and pool were good. Security good - you needed your room card to go up in the lifts.

“Good rooms, great location, marginal breakfast.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

Arrived in Bangkok on the 22nd of December 2011 on a four day trip to Bangkok. Upon arrival we were very impressed with the grandeur of the sparkling lobby and clean/shiny lifts. The rooms were also very impressive with a great view of Bangkok. The only downside to the rooms were the bathrooms, which appeared a bit shabby and tired with water stains on the ceiling. The beds were comfy and clean and a good nights sleep was had by all. But the buffet breakfast the next morning was disappointing. Some of the food had obviously been sitting there for hours and had gone hard and stale. The setting of the breakfast was also poor with tired tables and chairs and several people breathing cigarette smoke into your face. Some of the cups were also dirty covered in lipstick marks. After breakfast we visited the pool which was also not high standard, with algae covering the tiles and leaves surrounding the pool. So all in all, an average hotel with lovely clean rooms, great location for shopping and sightseeing but let down by shabby presntation and poor add on features e.g. the breakfast.

Room Tip: The highest level: the 17th floor has the best views.
