I was very impressed with this hotel. The rooms are clean and large, and well-kept, with a great bathroom. The room service is prompt and the food good. The breakfasts are a terrific bargain, and they are part of the room price. They put on a large spread of food, buffet style, every morning. The breakfast buffet ranges in food styles from Asian to Western, and there is plenty of it. The staff keeps a watch on the tables so your tea or coffee is always filled quickly. I'd suggest asking for a room on one of the upper floors because the views of Bangkok are fantastic. It's about 5 minutes from a skytrain station (Nana) so you can get about Bangkok easily. And all this for a very low price by western standards.

We stayed at the Royal Benja twice in August 2011, two nights at the beginning of our trip around Thailand and two nights at the end of our trip. Both times we had 2 rooms each time on high floors, 25 and 28) with stunning views. Our rooms were very large with two Queen beds and either a love seat or two comfortable chairs and coffee table. the bathroom is huge with separate tub and glassed in shower.

The buffet breakfast is included and is excellent. it offers either asian or western choices and both have a large selection. We were not bored after 4 breakfasts, as there were many choices. You are given breakfast vouchers at check-in, so make sure not to lose them, as you need them to enter the breakfast restaurant!

Internet stations are available for the price of 100baht for one hour. 300 baht for 24 hours unlimited. you can buy the vouchers from the cashiers right outside Benjamins restaurant.

I found the staff friendly and accommodating and helping. Taxi's and tuk tuks and plentiful just outside the door of the hotel. We found some taxis reluctant to use their meters, so we just kept walking up soi 5 and asking them to use their meter and eventually someone would, be patient! great night market at top of street. turn left and Nana BKS station only a short block or so walk away!

i found the hotel strictly ok.
the decor is old.
Thought the room size was very nice & big but the overall ambience was below normal.
i would pay a little more & stay at a different hotel.

A huge hotel, near to a very nice street market. Room service was also nice The only thing which i dnt like was the same breakfast menu everyday. we stayed there for four days and it was all same everyday. The swimming pool was also very average inspite of being such a big hotel. But overall it was nice and not that bad staying at Benja :-)
