This hotel is quite good, but the location lets it down. It's in a very ethnic part of town and my husband and I, on our very first visit to Thailand, felt quite intimidated on the streets, so did not eat out in any of the local "restaurants". In-house internet is expensive. We had a de-luxe room. The beds are a bit hard, and only one pillow provided on each, no spares. Plumbing is noisy, we could hear the toilets flushing in the adjoining rooms. Restaurant buffet sounds good, but the hot dishes were not as hot as they could be, so, for instance, the fried fish was a bit limp. Japanese sushi starters not bad, and salad selection fair. 2 complimentary bottles of water in room. Good group in bar, but nobody was in there, so it was dead in the evenings. The a la carte Thai menu was actually very good indeed. The swimming pool is small, but there are comfortable loungers, and the food served there is excellent. We had a very nice light smoked salmon salad. Very polite desk staff.
Room Tip: Above the 5th floor is best.
