“Amazingly Terrible~!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

1. Hotel entrance always wet, cox unknown water drips from upper floors. Hotel entrance located at some back street, and surrounded by flee market, sometimes taxi or buses can't drop you at the entrance and you will need to walk a distance across those market. Entrance are not handicap friendly, you will need to go down by staircase (ground floor) to reach lift lobby and hotel lobby located at 5th floors.
2. A 43-floors hotel but only 3 lift functioning. Average waiting time 15 minutes, and 30minutes during peak hour. And please take note, all lift lobby are not air-condition and don't even have good air circulation~!
3. Lobby staff give terrible attitude. Can't understand English and not friendly. We are a group of 17 families and check in time is extremely long~!!!
4. We stayed in 38th floors, executive rooms; the rooms are very old and it's doesn't show any sign of new renovation that they claim...
5. The rooms (382) are dirty, dusty, smelly~! I walk in the room with bare foot and my foot get dark black... all the sofa and beds are dusty~! The worst part is my room smell like garbage, somehow like some rotten dead water in drain... Air-con sounds like a diesel generator, all air-con controller malfunction and can't adjust anything. Bath room water heater are malfunction also, sudden cold and sudden hot. The whole room light are dim and dark... My bed sheet are full of dirty stains... which i not sure it's clean or not? The blanket are full of dirty coarse...
6. Since we staying at 38th floors, the view should be nice, but the windows are extremely dirty~!!!
7. The room's door card lock are malfunction also. The sounds are irritating~!!!
8. The air circulation in rooms are very very bad~!!! The window can't even open a small gap. The garbage smell in room are will circulated~! Every floor lift lobby are non air-condition and no air circulation.
9. Breakfast buffet at 43rd floor. The captain are extremely attitude. My maid bring along my 6yo daughter to have breakfast there earlier cox me and my wife wasn't ready yet. The captain stop them from eating at the half way because my room wasn't include breakfast. My maid calling me while i'm still taking bath in room. I quickly rush up to the restaurant, and saw my daughter sitting there and looking at the food. Then the captain walk towards me and telling me my room not include breakfast (with rude)... I can't hold my anger and shout to him in the restaurant. Do you think this hotel have any service orient and customer welcome? The entire culture are sucks~!

I will never back to this hotel again, even not to Baiyoke chain of hotels~!

Room Tip: Is there any good room?

“Do yourself a favour and don't stay here”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

Bangkok was our final destination after a three week trip to Thailand. We have travelled extensively over the years and unfortunately have never had the misfortune to stay anywhere like this hotel before. The lobby was newly renovated and our first impression was that it seemed like a nice place to stay.....boy if only we'd known I would have run in the other direction. The room we were taken to was an absolute disgrace....filthy dirty, smelly and totally unlivable. The bedding was ancient and should have been destroyed years ago along with the dirty stained and burned carpet. We saw the air conditioner on the wall but there is no way we would have turned it on as we would definitely caught something. We rang the lobby and requested a different room only to be met by the rudest most hostile hotel manager I have ever had the displeasure to meet. After two and a half hours he gave us another room which was barely better than the previous but because our son and his girlfriend were travelling with us and it was their first time in Bangkok we thought we should stay with them. Their room was far better than ours but was an upgrade from the deluxe we had. The staff were rude and generally non-existent to add to the state of the room. Wallpaper falling off, a kitchen that had a sink with no taps and the plug-hole sealed up. Also kitchen cupboards and drawers that had no handles and were glued shut anyway. Definitely the part of the room that astonished us was the external door that led outside to a sheer drop!!!! Luckily the door was locked shut but not a nice feeling looking at that. We have stayed at many hotels in Bangkok and would never ever consider this one again. We have frequented the Indra quite a few times and would definitely go back there in a hearbeat

Room Tip: Don't book one here, there aren't any good rooms....try the Baiyoke Sky or the Indra Regent

“Good area to stay if you like shopping”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

If you love shopping and don't like to be stuck in traffic, would recommend you to stay in this area.

The hotel lobby is not at street level, and the entrance to the hotel will leads you to luggage storage area. Taking the life to lobby level, you will see quite a modern design and huge lobby where you can find restaurant, fish spa, tourist information counter and internet kiosk.

My package includes a 15mins free fish spa for 2. So we tried during the second night of our stay. It's either the fishes were lazy or my legs are not attractive, because of the fishes are not "biting" you. But it was a good relaxing way after a tiring shopping day.

The hotel room is on 36th floor, quite high as there is only 43 floors in the building with the top floor being sky view restaurant. Room is very spacious for two to stay with a dining area, living room, and a bedroom. I would say it's big enough to stay for at least 10 people if you don't mind the fact that there is no bed.

However, my room's aircon wasn't functioning, and water heater is not hot enough.
So have to call up and get them to fix.

Apart from the little issue, overall the stay was quite ok. Bed is huge and comfortable.
One thing to mention is, the property looks rather old, with the feeling of more than 10 years already.

Coming out from the building will leads you to the freemarket at pratunam area where wholesale price can be obtained if you purchase at least 3 items. Various choice such as clothes, accessories, food, etc.

Be sure to negotiate the price as well even if you are just buying one. And if you buy more than 3 items, normally you can also get a way lower price.

Room Tip: Choose high floor for better view. The higher floor room is either facing east or west. My room was...

“Good Location, Large Room with a living Room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 December 2011

I have stayed twice at Baiyoke Suite standard Suite. It is quite old and dirty. This is my third time staying @ Baiyoke Suite, but is at executive room. Both are the same room size - 55m2, with the executive room being the newly renovated room. The floor is wooden made, and there is a plasma tv inside the bedroom. The bathroom is fully refurbished and the bath tub seems smaller. All in all, the room is very big and i will prefer the executive room more than the standard room. I stayed @ level 25, and there are 2 bird nest on top of my aircon. Hence, i could hear birds chirpping even in the late midnights. This could be very irritating.

The breakfast is great with western and chinese spread. The buffet breakfast is very delicious. However, i saw one small bug on the salad while i was eating. The location is good, is below pratunam market. You can walk to CentralWorld or Big C around 10-15 min walk. The Hotel security is very good. One downside is that it could be better if there are more lifts. No internet wi-fi. You have to pay 240B 1 hour usage, or 400B for one day usage.

Room Tip: Choose the lower floor. Is the executive room.
