We stayed in the Ramada for a week in December 2011 including Christmas. We had two suites (got upgraded) which was excellent for us with 4 kids and 2 adults. There is a complementary boat service that runs every 30 minutes. It takes you to Taksin BTS station which which takes you straight into the center. The breakfast buffet served in the riverside restaurant is great with a great choice, the kids loved it. In the evening there is a riverside bar which unfortunately was being restored after the floods during our stay. The pool was clean but a little cold since it doesn't get any sunlight. Overall the hotel offers efficient service, is clean, at a good location and has an excellent breakfast at a great price.

Overall really nice experience- friendly hotel staff- always greeted with a smile. Really interesting and thai tasting welcome drink, nice honeymoon decoration with fresh roses and towel swan. Nice contemporary room decor, very nice river view and the complimentary river boat service was a definite plus- they transfer right to Taksin BTS station which is very convenient to go in to Central Bangkok and Shopping districts. The reception and lobby has a tasteful modern design. We stayed in a riverside deluxe room which had all the expected amenities- nice comfy bed, clean and spacious bathroom. The restaurant on the river where breakfast was served had a great ambience in the morning which makes for a great start to the day. The buffet breakfast was one of the best in Bangkok as well- lots and lots of variety. We definately recommend staying there if looking for riverside hotel.

Our first stay at the Menam Riverside. Good value for a hotel on the riverside, frindly staff, excellent location, excellent breakfast, good views, regular shuttle service. At times, the deckchairs around the pool tend to be all occupied. Dinner (a la carte or buffet) a bit expensive, but very good. There are many cheap restaurants within walking distance.

This has to be the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Upon arrival the reception staff were friendly and we were welcomed with a cold drink and warm towels to freshen up. Our room was located on the 4th floor with excellent views over the Chao Phraya River. Spacious, clean and nicely decorated. We unpacked, showered and headed out to explore. The hotel has a free shuttle boat on the river to Saphan Taksin station which takes a few minutes. The hotel is away from the noise of the main attractions of Bangkok but these are very easy to get to.
Breakfast is the best I have ever experienced for choice. It was lovely to sit outside in the morning on the river terrace and plan the day ahead whilst enjoying the breakfast and view.
The pool was clean and inviting although a little cold. I don't believe it gets any sunlight however it is a welcome relief from spending a day sightseeing in the heat.
Overall we did not spend much time at the hotel but I would definitely stay again. Efficient service, clean, good location and excellent breakfast at a great price.
