Most of the staff is very friendly, accommodating and speak great English. Beds are comfortable, clean and mattresses in good shape. Room is fine for a traveler who is spending one or two nights. The swimming pool is beautiful, large and private. Buffet breakfast includes both Western and Asian, staff is very attentive and fills up your coffee cup constantly. Located on very busy street near great restaurants (highly recommend Mango Tree Restaurant) and Night Market. Also, next door is a good little noodle shop. We kept coming back to this hotel after our tours to Chiang Mai and Cambodia and it was like coming "home".

Booked this one a bit last minute. Was a completely different experience to the Swissotel down the road - functional, a bit dated, very busy, grubby and expensive for what it is. Was disapointed with breakfast. Did not live up to the standard of other hotels on our Thailand trip (which were cheaper too)

The Tawana Bangkok is very well located in central Bangkok, a couple of blocks from the Night Market, lots of good restaurants, etc. The staff is very friendly, many speak English, and there is an extensive breakfast buffet with both Eastern and Western foods. The standard room is reasonably spacious and clean. There is a nice pool and pool bar.

Very responsive staff and very good with English. While on a OAT tour my luggage was broken into from room to departure bus. A full denial of incident yet the zipper was busted open. Took three hours to manually repair while on the next leg of our tour to Myanmar. My wife's costume jewelry was also stolen during this time. Location is great if you desire the real life of Bangkok.
