“Almost excellent”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

Stayed in the Rembrandt for 3 nights. Had booked a room on the lower floor, however upon arrival we received an upgrade to the 23rd floor (executive floor). The bathroom had been renovated and the room had a good view across the pool, to the river. The hotel is in a great location with easy access via the hotel's tuk tuk to the main road and then a short walk to the skytrain. There is a great restaurant/massage place across the road called "Lean on Tree" which makes great cocktails and good cheap food. We had dinner at the Indian Restaurant on the top floor which had great views and food, however the cocktail was pretty ordinary. The pool was also quite crowded and we couldn't get a sun lounge the day we there which was very disappointing We had a few problems with our room cards not working properly in one of the elevators, a problem which other patrons seemed to share. The breakfast was excellent. I wanted to give this hotel a 5 but unfortunately some minor things let it down. I would happily stay at this hotel again.

excellence executed to perfection - for the last few years i have made sure that there was a room available for me whenever my travels took me through bangkok, which would be at least once every month.
as a former hotel executive i understand what it means to run an establishment to the effect that the guest cannot feel the slightest bit of the action that takes place behind the scenes.
the rembrandt is the perfect example.
congratulations to the whole team and a special thank you to the super efficient attendents of the executive floor !

“very good hotel”

We stayed at The Remmbrandt Hotel in January 2012 and found it excellent.
The hospitality was excellent and the services provided at the executive lounge were outstanding.
The hotels location is good, very close to the skytrain which takes one into the shopping centers in a jiffy.
Food at the Indian Restaurant was excellent - not very hot ot heavy, just right.
Swimming Pool and Gym on the third floor is very handy.

Overall, a very good place and would recommend it to fellow travellers

Room Tip: The executive rooms are definately very good value

“Just Grand!”

The Rembrandt is such a wonderful and delightful stay, in every regard. Upon arriving, the staff is warm, friendly and very accomodating. There are times when the lobby is extremely busy, but even then, they always seem to be watchful and attentive. We have been fortunate to have the Executive Lounge as an inviting and relaxing area to unwind, converse with business associates, and get to know others enjoying the surrounding area. The staff is amazing. So friendly, and going out of their way to meet every need. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and provide every need. This hotel is way above what I expected, and I look forward to my stay each time. The Spa, the pool, the lobby area and the impressive Rang Mahal restaurant are all excellent, and way beyond expectations. This is our 1st choice for each and every trip to a most enchanting city. Enjoy!

Room Tip: Upgrade to the Executive Lounge for a most warm and inviting atmosphere.

“Well Run Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

The hotel has a number of restaurants inside it to cater for varying tastes, including Thai, Mexican, Italian. Prices are reasonable by western standards and open to a variety of times.
My Room was fairly spacious and very clean, there were plenty of complementary's in the bathroom, the room had a well stocked mini-bar which although you would not call it cheap the prices weren't in the "How much" bracket but in the reasonable range for a mini-bar, the mini bar also had complementary bottles of drinking water.
For my taste the bed was a little on the hard side
there was very little outside noise to disturb you day and night
The service and politeness of the staff that worked there was excellent without any exceptions.
Security wise you needed your room card to use the lift to your floor
Some floors, such as mine, are non-smoking
The Hotel is situated a fairway down sol 18, if you walked down you have to avoid the taxi touts offering either tour services by day, massage parlors by night, There is during the day a complementary tut-tuk service to the main road. once on Sukhumvit Road it is a short walk to Asoke Sky train or Sukhumvit Road MTR.
If getting a taxi ensure they use the meter,
whilst travelling on Bangkok's roads you realise you don't need to go to a theme park for a white knuckle ride!
The bottom line is I would stay again at the Rembrandt Hotel

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor
