Located opposite Central world (Isetan and Zen), this hotel is right in the center of all action. It is near to Mo Chit BTS station, about 5 mins walk. The Big C (a large hypermart) is just next door, so it is extremely convenient. Walk in one direction and you will head towards the Erawan shrine (4 face budda), Siam Center, Siam Paragon, Siam Discovery Center and MBK. Walk in the opposite direction and you will have another shopping paradise waiting for you - Pantip Plaza, Platinum Fashion Mall, City Complex and the Pratunam market. You can also walk to Baiyoke Sky Hotel to have a bird eye's view of Bangkok City (day and night) and it is free. The rate for Arnoma hotel is relatively cheap as compared to other hotels in the same area. The building is a bit old, but room is clean and comfortable. The only drawback is there is no free internet or wifi.

I was greatly in doubt about the quality of this hotel given its low ranking and many other negative comments, however after staying in the hotel for the first time, I would greatly recommend this Hotel for food goers and shopaholics. This hotel is located about 5 minutes walk to the famous Erawan shrine, 5 minutes walk to the nearest ChidLom BTS and less than 10 minutes walk from Siam BTS station. It is also less than 15 minute walk to the shoppers paradise, Platinum Mall and Pratunam Centre. From morning till night, the vicinity of the hotel is as vibrant - there are stalls that sells clothings, food, etc in the morning and a night market bloom after 8.00pm. Besides that, its a stone throw away from the BigC Hypermart and CentralWorld Mall, 20 minutes walk to Siam Paragon and less than 25 minutes walk to MahBoonKhrong Centre (MBK). The staffs are extremely friendly and helpful.

But beware of scammers around the hotel, where will scheme you by telling you about the once in a month only celebration, known as the Lucky Buddha day. I have encountered this twice within three days and these men are normally dressed in business shirts and looked professional.

All staff are unfriendly ! Every enquiry will have the same answer "I don't know?" all staff working in buttercup ate service without smile! And it surplus me that no one know who is the gm for this hotel ?

I’ve stayed here many times – the location is simply perfect for shopping at the best malls of Bangkok. However of late the quality of this hotel is getting a bit too hit & miss to go unnoticed. During one stay only 1 power point worked in the entire room (bathroom included), very inconvenient for a business traveller. Another time a beeping sound was seemingly haunting the room. It took myself, a maid & the hotel engineer 1 hour to diagnose it was inside the wall (a bearing or something odd needed changing). Through experience I’ve also deduced you will get a far nicer/higher room if you are travelling with a man, rather than as a solo female or with a female friend. Also, watch the room rates on websites: agoda can advertise the Arnoma for $54/night (what it’s worth), then the following week it will be $90/night, and never purchase the room rate straight from the Arnoma website, sheer ripoff!
A wonderful hotel for the shopping district, otherwise I would look elsewhere to stay these days, the lack of maintenance is getting to be tiring.
