Stayed here on business for almost 2 weeks. By the second week, concierge was greeting me by name. Nice touch!
Reception upgraded me to a corner room gratis. The room was spacious and certainly enough for my needs. The bathroom has seen better days, but it's kept clean and the lighting makes it look very welcoming at the end of a long day at work. The rainshower head had calcium scale on it though, which made some of the jets shoot out at odd angles. Perhaps that needs to be looked into? Housekeeping is a bit spotty, depends on who cleans your room that day. I find they tend to forget to replenish my coffee, which annoys me in the morning. I resorted to leaving them notes every morning when I left for work. On the days I didn't leave notes, they didn't replenish my coffee. Just so you know.
The "default" pillows on the bed are too soft. I had a terrible neckache after a couple of days and had to request for the rubber pillow from the pillow menu. SO glad there was a pillow menu! The king size bed is HUGE, as are the bathrobes.
Room service food is hit and miss. I had a Thai dish that tasted odd, which was bizarre because this is Thailand and you'd have thought they'd be able to get it right. I've had much better versions elsewhere in BKK. I had the strawberry cheesecake too, and while the in-room dining menu mentioned "chunks of strawberries", there were no chunks to be seen on the plate at all. Not terribly impressed with the food.
All Seasons Place is just next door, and the buildings are actually connected; just follow the signs. There's a Tops supermarket there, for all your grocery needs. Starbucks is there too, and if you really need your fast food, there's a Burger King as well. The Hotel and the Residences are actually in the same place, and the lobbies are linked, so you can enter both from Soi Ruam Rudee (the back) instead of Thanon Witthayu (Wireless Rd, the front) and avoid the heavier traffic on the thanon.
The gym is pretty awesome. It's very large, with many cardio machines, and there's a yoga studio with class schedule. The hotel is a bit of a walk (10-15min) from Phloen Chit BTS station, but will be slightly faster to walk through Soi Ruam Rudee than Thanon Whittayu. There's a shuttle bus from All Seasons Place to the BTS station that runs from 7am to 9pm daily. In the morning, there's a day market to the left of the exit onto Thanon Witthayu where you can get Thai coffee and tea and snacks.
