“Typical City Break Hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

This hotel is fine for a city break. Dont expect luxury, our room was huge, clean but very tatty. The towels and bedlinen had that grey tinged look of much use and the bed hard and not terribly comfortable. The swimming pool area was in dire need of a make over. No free wi-fi except in the downstairs cafe, whats that all about?
Dont get caught with the hotel staff at the main door. They will get you a taxi and then you will find yourself caught in a scam to spend more money on sightseeing than you need. I like to think we are quite savvy but we got caught big time on a boat trip, be warned! Hind sight is a wonderful thing but make sure you do your homework on how to get around Bangkok, yes taxis are cheap but it takes so long to get anywhere and the sky train and underground are efficient but do not cover the whole city.

“If only you like high rooms”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

Baiyoke on its own is a nice hotel. but i just do not like the idea of changing lifts just to get back to my room.
first u take 1 lift then change to another lift. if there are tour groups going up to the sky deck then you have to wait a long time for even the first lift .
i hate it when you are carring lots of things back and you have to wait for the huge group to dispens into the lift. lucky there are helpful staff which will hold the lift doors for you, and they smile..

there is a 24hrs shop which sells everything from beer to tissue and small snack.which is great if you are hungry in the middle of the night. oppsite stands a 7-11 but after midnight, they do not sell beers to any one.. lucky there is this baiyoke shop on its lobby floor which is so easy for purchase of beer in the night.

this hotel suits everyone . but there might be a lots of children running around but the staff are helpful to contrtrol the crowd.

the breakfast is great and worth going. the view is great on the buffet floor.
location close to shopping area. walk pass the patrunaam market to reach another shopping.lots of shopping center around, really great for female ..
going for massage? try the one next to hotel.. cheap and good. the foot massage is so comfortable !
room is clean and has nice view , overall a great stay

Room Tip: the higher the room , the nice the view , the higher the price

“The Highest Hotel in Bangkok”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

Very amazing about this hotel.

The room was big enough although we booked was the standard room. The room may feed a family.

The receptionist was friendly and helpful. Total 6 of us travel and get in the same floor but regret booked 3 rooms because the room was big enough.

After had our welcome drinks, we went to pratunam night market. Just in front the hotel. If you dun like shopping, may go for massage center beside the hotel. The service good and price was reasonable.

Hotel guest was entitled going up the rooftop hotel to view the bangkok, that was amazing if you stand top of the hotel. We enjoyed with the view every night.

Don't miss out when you travel at Bangkok....

Room Tip: Request for the nice view.

“The Sky Zone, Amazing Views of Bangkok, Incredible Breakfast Choices”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

I particularly like the location of the hotel which is convenient to shopping and only a one minute walk to the sky train link to the airport. additionally, the hotel has large, clean rooms and with equally large bathrooms. the maid services are very pleasant and quick and through with their cleaning of the room. taxi service is available at all times curbside at the front of the hotel. there is plenty of shopping all around the hotel and within a few kilometers of the hotel. this is always my first choice for a hotel in bangkok and will return for a 3 weeks stay in may 2012.

Room Tip: Get a lower floor room. Spending too much time waiting for the lift.

“Exelent view, but too busy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

Being the tallest hotel in Bangkok it is an exelent startingpoint, and easy to find if you get lost in the city.
Markets all around.
The guided tours with tourists who don`t live in the hotel makes it a busy place and you often have to wait for the lift.If you are looking for a relaxing/romantic place this is not the place!
The room was OK, but if you like to have a view the windows wasn`t cleaned and there was even a rest of a dead dove resting outside.
The breakfast was OK but too busy and tha lack of a good restaurent in the hotel was a big disapointment.

Room Tip: Choose a room in the space zoon (68 th floor or higher)!
