Had three nights here,in mid January before going onto Myanmar.
From the moment we were picked up from the airport, until we were dropped off there three days later the Sukhothai staff could not have done anymore to make our stay more enjoyable.
There are so many four and five star hotels in BKK it is difficult to choose, but if you are looking for somewhere, just a bit out of the hustle and bustle(although the equivalent of a three euros taxi drive will get you there)choose the Sukhothai and be sure to eat at their excellent(no really)Thai restaurant.
I could go on and on praising this place, but hey,you know what I mean.Just can't fault it..
Just a quick "hello" to all the "breakfast" staff, what a crew!

Room tip: We had a deluxe studio, which was plenty large enough for just us two.

Stayed for the weekend here, our second stay. This time we had a deluxe executive room. A bigger room than the deluxe studio (which is already very big), but overlooks the inner courtyard. The main difference is a small lounge area, a second toilet and a bigger bathroom, otherwise the layout is identical. I actually prefer the studio room as it has a view over the pool and I didn't feel the need to keep the curtains shut all the time.
Service here is very good, they are very friendly.
The hotel has Mercedes S-class limousines for transfers but these are extremely expensive. if you are coming from the airport, take an AOT limousine (official airport ones) at the departure lounge. You can bargain for these, and are on average about THB1100. The hotel will offer you their own drivers if you call to organise a car during your stay (as we did), but at THB4000 vs. THB1100 for an AOT (which the concierge will organise) it's far too expensive.
Breakfast buffet here is very nice, with the usual spread, including eggs made to order.
Housekeeping is lovely, with delicious complementary chocolates, and a fruit bowl, but on some days was lacking. There were also mosquitoes in our room, which were easily sorted by an electric mosquito coil.

Room tip: Pick the deluxe studio rooms - they are huge and have a good view of the pool (rather than the internal courtyard, where people can look up at you).

The Sukhothai Bangkok is a great property with excellent and exceeding expectation customer service! Everyone from the limo pick up to the porters, front desk, concierge, restaurant & bars staff were fantastic. I don't have enough words to describe how beautiful and amazing this property is! Wish we could have stay longer.

We were picked up on arrival, as we exited the airplane. After a long flight from Geneva via Vienna, we definitely appreciated this. We were very quickly taken through immigration and luggage retrieval. The hotel has wonderful spacious rooms, excellent service, varied and well-presented breakfast buffet. You will be spoiled after this experience!
