“Good location and excellent facilities to suit most”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

10 nights in a Premier Room with Kingsize bed, Jacuzzi bath and really good Air Con. 2 free bottles of water every day. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a good as any I have had in the world. If it was not already there they will cook something to your liking. The hotel is 5 minutes from the BTS Skytrain station (cheap and efficient) and backs on to the Benjakiti Park which has every thing a fitness fanatic or family could wish for including an outdoor pool although the hotel has 2 pools on the 4th & 9th floors. Both have free towels, sunbeds and lifeguards.

“Very comfortable and a convenient location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

Stayed here because I attended a conference held here, and was very happy with everything. I was in a Premium room (or whatever the rank above "standard" is) and it was very big, with king sized bed and a sitting area with a sofa, arm chairs and a desk. Free broadband internet (LAN connection), loads of closet/cupboard space, etc. The room was clean, if a little worn around the edges. Had a small issue with being able to drain the tub but housekeeping fixed it. The room was quiet, housekeeping did a great job, front desk staff impeccably courteous, fitness room staff very helpful, and buffet breakfasts also good. The bell staff were also very helpful.

The location of the hotel was another great point - right on a lovely, clean park equipped with athletic equipment, a running course, and a playground for kids up to about 7 or 8 years old. Easy walking distance to the BTS and many different shops, massage spas, restaurants, etc. I would definitely consider staying here with my family when next in Bangkok, as I think the price of the room was great value.

Room Tip: Imperial club tower was very quiet and convenient

“Great hotel if you want a great location within reach of proper street stalls, sky train and shopping!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

A large, comfortable hotel situated next to a small park with very friendly staff but a little old fashioned in terms of decor. Brilliant and ample selection for breakfast that caters for all types of tourist tastes and dietary requirements, 2 lovely pools in different locations that mean if you wish to you can have sun or shade all day. There are brilliant street stalls a minute or two away so you can have a filling lunch of mince pork and rice or noodle soup, plus drink for 30baht or if you prefer there are a mix of bars and restaurants and Subway in the same street. The Sukhumvit (afternoon/night) street market in the Nana / Asok area is about 15 minutres walk away and with Promg Promog skytrain station in close proximity, overall this hotel offers a great package.

Room Tip: Ask whether free internet is offered as this varies.

“Great Hotel Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

This hotel offers great value and an ideal base in Bangkok to explore the city. Yes the rooms are a little tired but they are big, comfortable and clean. The staff are extremely helpful and pleasant. The hotel has some excellent facilities that are better than some more expensive hotels we have stayed in Bangkok. The best of these are the two swimming pools on floors 4 and 9. In many BKK hotels the pools are plunged into the shade by the surrounding skyscrapers but with two pools on different sides of the building, you can follow the sun from one pool to the other. The gym has a good range of cardio machines, weight machines and free weights.
Breakfast in the hotel was excellent. There is a huge choice from the buffet and items cooked to order if you want them. We sat eating breakfast overlooking the park which provides a pleasant outlook and also a nice walk any time of the day.
There are a couple of good bars 200 yards from the hotel where you can enjoy a cheap beer and watch the world go buy. The best Thai restaurants we found were Lemongrass (10 mins walk) and Cabbages and Condoms (20 mins walk) and would recommend both. Lemongrass is slightly more expensive (about £20 per head with drinks) but has a more interesting menu and fantastic staff.

“Bankok courtesy!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Fabulous Public areas but some bed rooms whilst perfectly adequate are now a tad dated or tired, especially the bathrooms. Stay in the 'Club' rooms - its worth it for the free bar and breakfasts in the superb 'Club room' left of the Foyer.
(You also check in here, not at main Reception)
All the staff we met, from Bell boys to check-in to room service and, particularly in the Club Lounge, were ever polite, helpful and efficient.
The street is typical Bankok. Some might say seedy. Normal for BKK!
Very nice Hotel Pool and a large shady Public park out back, by the Skytrain station. At the price this hotel is perhaps the best value.

Room Tip: Club room and high in Tower
