I spent time in Bangkok in October- November 2012. Many evenings were spent here. On most nights there was an incredible band playing a combinaiton of rock and pop music from the 60s to the present - all in English. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. If you wanted to dance, you did not have to find a partner. The staff would take you to the dance floor. They are always available to engage in conversations with the customers, learning from them and sharing their ideas. I even had some of them teaching me a bit of Thai. Certainly felt at home, being there alone. Relly worth a visit.
