“Never Stay Here”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

This place is in the middle of nowhere. Actually it is a one-way street and in the mornings it can get very difficult to get a taxi. I waited for half an hour once to get into a taxi (and there were others who were still waiting). And when you need to comeback, you will need to go through the traffic-jammed areas of bangkok to get into this lane. You will experience this - only when you stay here.

Also, the corridors smell of cigarrette. Staff is good, but the property's location makes it an unsuitable choice both for work and pleasure.

The only silver lining of staying here was that there is a Massage Center just besides this property (actually besides the Q Longsuwan Condoimium. That is very good. However, Mayfair's own spa Kandara was a slight down in terms of the attitude of the masseuse.

Room Tip: Rooms are quite spacious but corridors are smelly.

we stayed in these apartments for 3 nights recently while travelling through Asia with our 16 month old baby, I would have to highly recommend the apartments, the staff were so helpful, my baby was sick and they allowed us a later check out time, the appartments were spacious and comfortable,
would definitely have no hesitation to go back, thanks

“Exceptional value for money !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

This hotel was some experience ! Lovely apartment, stocked kitchen, plush bed, yawning living area, warm swimming pool and finally peace all around.

In three simple points :
1. Fantastic location, you are never too far away from....anything !
2. Calm & quiet, with all amenities but without the hustles of those large-starry properties.
3. Great rates given the wonderful apartments & services, truly a bargain.

We traveled with our little one and everything right from the microwave to hot stove, to warm water, to a washing machine was at our disposal to make our baby & us happy. The furnishings are up to the Marriott-mark and so is the service. The tour concierge too genuinely strive to accommodate trip arrangements beyond their usual plans.

We saved a lot of time as its located just a short walk to the Central Mall or a station's ride away to the majestic Siam Paragon or MBK mall or other Bangkok vistas. And no matter where you are in the city, just say 'Mayfair' and they'll get you there ! The open air swimming pool is large & pleasantly heated and the small bar area tucked in the corner is a real treat. You do not get a in-house nightclub, a battery of butlers or a show of grandeur with sheer size but this property is perfect for everybody who wish to be at leisure in his/her own style and have great value for money, while not compromising on anything that comes attached with a simple 5-star status !

Room Tip: If you can, go for deluxe suites or get rooms at higher floors.

“Long term stay sucks !!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

I stayed in this hotel as long term guest because I loved marriott services and expected this one to be same. Beware -- staying in executive apartments is a far cry from grandeur of JW Marriott or simplicity of Marriott courtyard. this hotel is a private hotel with a deal to carry Marriott name tag. They are priced overtly high for a very basic accommodation and staff quality is very poor. if you are looking to stay with family for extended long holiday, then look out for other service apartments in Bangkok in city center that offer better service at much lower prices. in terms of location, this hotel is isolated in city center with no good restaurants or amenities in walking distance

Room Tip: Please choose rooms are higher floor (> 15 th floor)

“Home away from Home”

I stayed at the Mayfair from January 2011 till April 2011 while shooting the movie "Trade of Innocents" as did all of my North American crew, cast and visitors. The apartment was well furnished and maintained. The service was exceptional. Covered on top but open air (on the ends) pool on the 24th floor with snack bar and workout room provided a relaxing environment for us as a place to kick back or have weekend meetings. You're walking distance to huge multi-story malls and cultural attractions can be visited on easy day trips. Although most of my time was taken up with working on the movie, my brother and wife visited for 3 weeks and said it was the best vacation they ever had. My wife and her friends came for 3 weeks too and would second their opinion. The staff are helpful, friendly, respectful and everyone speaks English. :) I should mention there are many 5 Star Restaurants in walking distance, the American styled convenience store close by and the Calderazo Bistro right in front of the apartment with excellent Italian fare.

Room Tip: I had a 2 bedroom corner suite, and took my "WiFi" base station so the internet provided...
