Bangkok De Chateau
Stayed at the hotel deluxe suite room which was huge and comfy for 12 nights, had a bit of problem trying to locate the hotel in the night as a 1st time guest, like to suggest they install a lighted sign board above the Paparazzi signage which is their hotel restaurant as the hotel’s name can’t be seen from far as it was located flat nearby the road as such one may pass the hotel without noticing the name.
A tip for 1st time guest like me checking in at night, do notice Conrad Hotel signage ad, you can’t miss the hotel as it is directly opposite the Conrad, also in Conrad you be able to find some of your shopping needs, Top Supermarket, food court and some nice restaurants such as Burger King, Sizzlers Steak House, Japanese Food, Starbuck etc
though I check in at 2am in the morning , reception was warm and friendly, bell hop was also very helpful and accommodating to assist in any purchase at the nearby 7/11 store.
Room decor are not as modern as compared to others in Bangkok, however being Accor, upkeep of the premises does not really shows it age, it was homely with comfortable nice beds, cool aircon and big bathroom with a Jacuzzi, also towel was soft and new, housekeeping cleanliness was superb
Especially like the location with 5 minutes walk to BTS train station and within 3 stations to famous MBK. Siam Paragon and any other of your favorite major shopping malls in Bangkok
The only grouse I have in my stay is that there are no free internet in the rooms and charges of Baht 200 per day applies if one want to enjoy this facilities, in these days of age of communication and for the business traveler, the management should look into or consider at least to provide one hour free daily just for the guests to check online their basic happenings
Maybe for cost saving one should have the option either to enjoy one hour free internet or having Herald Tribune delivered to their rooms. How about this Accor?
In any case, I will recommend this hotel to others who are traveling with a family as it surely be a good trip due to the approximates of things, quiet location, the size of the rooms, staffs services which makes you feel the homeliness and warmness the hotel has to offer
