Stayed here a few nights including New Year's Eve. Was in one of the upgraded deluxe rooms which was huge (almost spare though) with a good view. Location was OK but I found much better for my second stay. Lobby is nice enough and breakfast was quite amazing. However, there was a loud (and awful) New Year's party that went on for 5+ hours 10 floors directly below my room. It sounded like it was right in my room. I was not warned when I was given the room. Tried to get some staff up to hear how bad it was after enduring it for several hours and had to ask 3 times before someone finally came about 1:00 am. What really put me off even more was hotel's policy of charging for every amenity. Wi-Fi was very expensive (more than 300 baht/day) and one could not even use the business centre to make travel plans for free. They even wanted 20 baht or so for every page printed. Bottled water in the room was something like 120 baht/bottle. The bar fridge lists the prices for items before tax and service which add another 18+%. Imagine your surprise to think you were drinking a half bottle of wine for 700 baht but it really was 900 baht on the hotel bill. When I complained on check out about the awful party noise, they did reimburse me for my extras but one would have to pay them absent a considerable complaint like mine about the lodging. Other hotels in Bangkok (newer, more conveniently located, cheaper, better service) offer free Wi-Fi and water.
