“Great staying hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

Checked in on 20 Jan 2012 near midnight. Staff reception was friendly on receiving us. Stayed in Club Prestige room.

Newspaper received in timely manner in the morning.

Breakfast in Prestige Club. Food is non-oily, and less salt, which suits my taste and health.

View of the city was breath-taking. I can understand why my friends tell me to travel via Expressway, rather than the trunk roads ( frequent traffic jams )

Location was near Asok Metro MRT. A 5 minute walk to Central Plaza, with lots of choice foods and things to buy.

Transfer from Asok MRT to Siam Skytrain brings us to more shopping belts.

the location of hotel is good if you always travel in bangkok by subway. the traffic around hotel is terrible stuck. the excellent selling point is if you are a person that always enjoy the shopping and nightlife. I recommend this hotel for you. I think the service and room is enuf for stay and peaceful.

“Good location but old hotel”

Didn't have a very good first impression. They missed my airport transfer. Frustrating to arrive and to find that they didn't arrange a car for you. I managed to locate their representative at the airport and she kept saying that I didn't book. I power-up my laptop and showed them the email confirmation. She then arranged some 4WD to fetch me to the hotel and instructed me to complain to the manager that the reservation desk didn't do a good job transfering the request to her. Not a good start but they upgraded my room when I told the duty manager upon check-in.

The room I was given was large but looks old. Probably need some facelift.
Other than the fact that they didnt provide an iron, I don't have any major complains.

Breakfast spread was below average for Bangkok but this isn't exactly a 5 star.

It is located next to a mall. So it is very convenient. There is a huge brand new mall opposite the road too.

The MRT is at its doorstep. Phra Ram 9 station. Super convenient. A few stops away to the main city center. And the hotel is near to the expressway to the airport, so less jammed if you were to get to the airport during rush hour.

“A bit tired looking but good location”

Thr room was pretty old for a 4 stars hotel and the room did not improve since my first stay on 2006.

The breakfast selection is ok and the location is great where Subway station is right in front of the hotel where connect to downtown.

With the budget you have to stay Grand Mercure, you might consider somewhere else.

“Oldish”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 December 2011

Friendly staff, big and clean rooms at executive floor; but look old and is pretty noisy due to bad sound insulation. The road is pretty busy, and if you are unlucky to get the room facing front, you will find out that sleeping maybe a challenge.
On the morning, I requested a room facing the back. It was slightly better.
