“We love you Intercontinental Bangkok! Best in BKK!”

We just returned from our second stay in two weeks at the Intercintinental BKK. Special commendations go out to the fantastic Ambassador check in counter's Sirinthip (Gade) and my 3 bell guys Nakorn, Chanwit and Thaworn. You helped make our stays a wonderful experience. We love the location, service, cleanliness and breakfast (amazing) and cannot wait to be back. Our 5 month year old Baby Raya was treated like a princess and she send her regards as well ;)

Thanks for everything you do and we look forward to seeing you again!

“Fulfilled all my requirements”

After a 14 hour journey resulting in a tired and slightly weary state first impressions really count. Fortunately the Intercontinental really delivered in this respect. The hotel really went out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable from the very beginning. On arrival my room wasn't ready due to being too early. This was my fault and yet they were beyond apologetic offering me drinks at the bar and use of the wi-fi to compensate me for the wait. My room was soon ready and I was shown to an impressively large and extremely comfortable room where every single detail seemed to have been considered offering everything from international sockets to dvd players. The rooms were light, airy and beyond comfortable. Bathrooms were large and of a high standard.

Breakfast at the hotel was incredible offering every single element one could possibly desire ranging from cereals (and delicious granola) thru to fruit salads, hot western breakfast items and dim sum.

One of the best and most underrated features of the hotel is the pool area. Having stayed at the Sheraton grande later in my trip I would say without a doubt that I preferred the Intercontinental pool.

The Intercontinental is a truly great city hotel. It delivers on all of it's promises and does so with a beaming smile on the face of every single member of it's staff. Would certainly recommend.

“Best of Bangkok”

Excellent experience for first time stay at this Intercontinental in Bangkok even though we have stayed many times in Bangkok. Without question, this hotel will be the only hotel for us in future stays. The quality of the staff, facilities, rooms, restaurants and Club was truly exceptional. As Americans, we use Bangkok as a hub to travel the Far East with Air Asia (a low cost airline), so we envision many more stays at this reasonably priced, top quality hotel that is centrally located.
You must try the sensational food at their Expresso Restaurant that serves fantastic buffet's at Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. The Club, Pool and Gym on the 37th floor all offer great service and views of Bangkok

We are just back from our trip to Thailand. Last couple of days of our trip we stayed in Intercontinental Bangkok.

It was not the first experience with this hotel, so we can compare our stays and see some trends.

The reception staff (hi, Kook), concierge (hi, Candy!) and porters did amazing job - exactly as we would expect from world-wide known 5-stars brand.

Room service delivered really good food.

There are, however, minor issues which give the reason to think that something is going not in line with 5-star reputation.

Cleanliness of the room. Upon our arrival a strange pink tablet/pill was on the toilet floor. We didn't make a noise as we were tired of our trip a bit and hurried to the meet our friends. It was a big surprise for us to see this tablet exactly on the same place on the floor in the afternoon the next day, after the room was cleaned.

Then we called for housekeeping lady, who had to clean our room. She came and with some precautions (rubber gloves) took the tablet away.

Ventilation system (AC?) was making a noise, not too loud but unpleasant still (trouble with bearings?). Armchair was squeaking...

Breakfast choice was very impressive. The only thing we didn't understand - why we had to ask for pineapple as a special service? It was delivered in 5 minutes, but why it was not freely available in the buffet. Is it not a common/ordinary fruit in Thailand?

Some may say these issues are the minor ones. May be. On the other hand, any downward trend starts with minor issues, usually.

Anyway, we believe management of Intercontinental Bangkok is able to solve the problems.

Again, many thanks to Kook, Candy, and many others of Interconti staff!

We would definitely stay in Intercontinental Bangkok again!

“Perfect stay”

Spend some nights in Interconti in BKK. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful, the ambiente great, the rooms and restaurants perfect. And the food was incredible fine. I can recommand this super hotel warmly.

Room Tip: I prefer rooms at higher levels
