I was on a beach holiday in Hua Hin but took 1 night off for a 2 day tour of Bangkok.
Stayed here at a reasonable rate compared to Western orientated pricing hotels. It is an aparthotel. Room was comfortably furnished but with a living room/kitchen and desk with internet connection. The bathroom was excellent and had a washing machine.
Ordered food in off the internet and it was delivered to my room. One extra guest arrived and on request a separate bed quite adequate for a large adult was set up circa 10 pm. Of course I had priced for this in the orginal quote but note this bed was in the living room, which was spacious and there was a comfortable double bed in the bedroom so this would sleep a family of 3 in uncrowded conditions.
No tourist views worth speaking of from the windows but the reception desk were polite and English was spoken.
There is a breakfast room which we never used but it looked pleasant enough so at a cost (no details sorry), you can eat in the Hotel without going out.
The star deal was that the hotel has a little 'taxi' service (tuk tuk really) free of charge to the nearest sky rail station, which happens to also be a Metro station 2. The admiral premier will also pick you up from the Metro Station. The station is called asok.
Now when you know the walking route note the following comments that come from one of my adult sons living in Thailand. As you turn left out of the Hotel, walk the short distance to the end of the side street where you will find a little pattiserie, selling yummy cakes. My son recommended this to the sweet toothed. The Patisserie is called "Pak Bakery". At Pak Bakery turn right and at the end of the short side street turn left at a illuminated sign for "Giusto", an italian restaurant with it's own parking lot. Along this busier side street you will find a pub called "Queen Vic" which reputedly does a full english breakfast which is good. That is if you can stomach that much english food in a hot climate. Turn right at the end of the street you are in and you will come immediately to a massive crossroads. Just around the corner to the right is the entrance to the Metro. The station is "Asok".
I have written a review on the metro elsewhere. However if you want to use The Skyrail system instead of taking a right at the massive traffic intersection look above you and find the stairway up to high level pedestrian walkway and follow the signs to the rail station "Asok", which is probably 300 metres distant.
I was never lost but got stuck on ticketing and there was always a younger european around to help and they all speak english (apart from the russians).
This skyrail route (there are 2 in Bangkok) will take you straight to "Siam" station where there is upmarket fashion clothing and a lot more in the mall for a fraction of the price in the UK.
The admiral premier quiet and restful and I got a good night's sleep. Water was hot and everything worked well.
I was there in January 2012.
